I got really lucky. I found it in an old record crate underneath the normal
record boxes in store that isn't specialized in techno. I saw a record with
a black label on one side and a gold on the other. My hart bounced and I
quickly looked to the inscriptions in the record. Woohoo!! It cost me about
5$ because it came from the old records crate and nobody knew what gem I was
holding. I even have the Axis 009A double and the other copy did only cost
about 7$. That's real thrill, buying these records for such a price!!

True that, but it also makes em more expensive. I recall paying about $ 30
US for a 2nd hand AXIS 9 but yeah I *was* thrilled!

Mills said in an interview that if a record is harder to
find, it makes it more of a thrill when you *do* find it,
thus he made sure that these two records weren't
easy to get. andrew duke

There is Axis 9A and Axis 9B, both quite hard to find, especially here in
Europe. I've noticed new copies in the last months, but some years ago
these
records were hard to find. Both were released through Hardwax in Berlin
and
they were meant to be as exclusive as they are. Jeff wanted to release
some
tracks that could only be found in specialised shops. I'm sure other list
members will be able to explain more. Have to go now, still lots of work
to
do.

Subject: (313) Axis 009...what's the story?
After getting a bit enlighted by the responses to my Red Planet question,
I'm going to try and resolve some more naivete...
Here's the situation: I'm a bit confused. It seems that there are two
different versions of Axis 009.
The songs are untitled and the record itself doesn't even identify
itself except for the etching on the label. This seems really illogical
to me and a bit confusing.
Is there some story behind this record, or is it just one of those
unexplained strange occurances?
Thanks
Jason
