Future Beat Alliance - Lumiere EP (Versatile) - if it had been released 10 years ago it would be hailed as a classic! Kerri Chandler - Street Musiq Vol.2 (Large) - wicked varied ep, of most interest to this list will be the live version of 'Can You Feel It'. Someone should sit A Hundred Birds down and play them this track. Now THAT'S how to cover a classic! Makes a change for a cover to do the original justice. Niko Marks ep (Planet E) - Dope. Makes a change for a cover to do the original justice. wow. i thought that this cover was blasphemy. maybe im in the minority, but for the most part i think classics should just be left alone. i did enjoy the hundred birds version of jaguar simply because it was such an interesting concept. theres no good concept behind covering can you feel it that i can see. on a related note, some cat on F Comm called fred avril covered lil louis' french kiss and it was also a horrible idea. tom andythepooh.com

Re: (313) Re: new records
tried to mail this from a non-listed address, seems like it's working! This is a bit off-topic but among the last lot I got was the whole of the Amen Andrews series on Rephlex, these tunes are MURDERERS!!! Get a listen at rephlex.com, you won't be disappointed. On the techno(?) front, I managed to get two cheap copies of that Francois De Roubaix 10 (the Vibert mix is cute), and the new Mills (Divine EP) and Twilight Scenario, both totally funked out blinders. Also, picked up a load of Tangerine Dream and a really cool LP by a guy called Robert Schroeder, called 'Floating Music', which can be played at 33 or 45! From 1980, some really nice sounds on that. Oh, got Tres Demented as well, I seem to remember it getting a knocking on the list, but I think it's wicked, one more in the long line of druggy, tribal-y club records with shouting on, going back to the disco days...can't remember which ones though. F*ck. All the best, Andrew Matthew Kane wrote: At 04:25 PM 11/24/2003 +, you wrote: i picked up an EP with two great mixes of sueno latino. i guess there is a company called simply vinyl that has been repressing classic dance trax on 125gram vinyl. this EP has derrick's illusion first mix and a paradise mix. it's nice to have a proper edition of this dreamy piece. I just got this in the mail, and the thick vinyl is the first thing I noticed! I picked up a couple of older Bpitch Control releases. I finally bothered to start listening to that stuff after hearing about it for the past 4 years. =) -- unsigned short int to_yer_mama; http://hydrogen.doesntexist.org Matthew Kane : Software Engineer : Atlantek, Inc.
