RE: (313) Record Time www site...
I'm not sure. it was friend, he did order some wax for me and it was nice getting the music at a discount. he has an ebay store, but i think the us distro wouldn't because he did not have a tax id number? this is something he is looking into now. > > That's weird, I still order direct from them. RE: (313) Record Time www site...
He should let Kompakt know that their US distributor won't sell direct to him - it might make them re-think who is representing them in the US. Is it just me or is there sort of a monopoly/"cornering of the market" on distribution in the US for most European/UK labels (and even US labels - Submerge not included in that) my local shop is finally dealing with some smaller distributor that readily supplies Detroit techno and house labels (lots of them smaller labels) and for the first time in years there is finally a bin that is pretty well stocked with Detroit techno. Last time I saw this many Detroit records in this shop was probably around '97-98. I don't know who the distributor is but they are doing a fine job. Oh yeah, they've got Detroit related t-shirts now too. Neptune is in Royal Oak, great mail order (though I imagine anything you're ordering youcould just get straight from Kompakt or Forced) at neptunerecords.com > i'm blushing :) > i may have not been the quickest mailorder person, but i really cared > about the customers, because i am a vinyl addict too! so hopefully i > haven't made too many enemies on the list. and i hated that website > more than anyone, trust me! > > but i can't say one way or the other, i always go to rt roseville (as i > am currently still on the east side). > > i don't like the site, but it's not a custom designed site for them, > just a template that they put items into. i would suggest submerge > (you know them already) or neptune (ferndale, they have > minimal/experimental/indie) to supplement your mailorder needs. > > the bins at rt are definitely the best, you wouldn't believe what > people trade in (and overlook). i don't own finalscratch, but the > amount of used records i've picked up from people who 'don't need vinyl > anymore' makes me say 'i love finalscratch!' > > i would recommend having a detroit friend (ahem) dig for the htf > records you need. i saw some ugly edits white labels there a couple > weeks back, among other goodies. > > ani > > > : : -Original Message- > : : From: scotto [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > : : Sent: Tuesday, September 09, 2003 9:43 AM > : : To: 313@hyperreal.org > : : Subject: Re: (313) Record Time www site... > : : > : : > : : imo mail order at record time went down hill after ani left. > : : but the website is stupid now, i dont even try to use it. i can : : > never find > : : anything. > : : > : : but the last two times i have gone down to RT in both stores > : : the used bin > : : has rocked. > : : > : : -scotto > : : lansing, mi. > : : plaztikjezuz.com > : : > : : > : : - Original Message - > : : From: "Southern Outpost" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > : : To: <313@hyperreal.org> > : : Sent: Monday, September 08, 2003 11:09 PM > : : Subject: (313) Record Time www site... > : : > : : > : : > Is it just me or has Record Times www site gone downhill? > : : > > : : > Can't seem to browse through all their records like in times gone > by. : : > > : : > Peace, > : : > Patrick. > : : > > : : > > : : > : : > : : -- Allen Goodman [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.fksche.com

i'm blushing :) i may have not been the quickest mailorder person, but i really cared about the customers, because i am a vinyl addict too! so hopefully i haven't made too many enemies on the list. and i hated that website more than anyone, trust me! but i can't say one way or the other, i always go to rt roseville (as i am currently still on the east side). i don't like the site, but it's not a custom designed site for them, just a template that they put items into. i would suggest submerge (you know them already) or neptune (ferndale, they have minimal/experimental/indie) to supplement your mailorder needs. the bins at rt are definitely the best, you wouldn't believe what people trade in (and overlook). i don't own finalscratch, but the amount of used records i've picked up from people who 'don't need vinyl anymore' makes me say 'i love finalscratch!' i would recommend having a detroit friend (ahem) dig for the htf records you need. i saw some ugly edits white labels there a couple weeks back, among other goodies. ani : : -Original Message- : : From: scotto [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] : : Sent: Tuesday, September 09, 2003 9:43 AM : : To: 313@hyperreal.org : : Subject: Re: (313) Record Time www site... : : : : : : imo mail order at record time went down hill after ani left. : : but the website is stupid now, i dont even try to use it. i can : : never find : : anything. : : : : but the last two times i have gone down to RT in both stores : : the used bin : : has rocked. : : : : -scotto : : lansing, mi. : : plaztikjezuz.com : : : : : : - Original Message - : : From: "Southern Outpost" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> : : To: <313@hyperreal.org> : : Sent: Monday, September 08, 2003 11:09 PM : : Subject: (313) Record Time www site... : : : : : : > Is it just me or has Record Times www site gone downhill? : : > : : > Can't seem to browse through all their records like in times gone by. : : > : : > Peace, : : > Patrick. : : > : : > : : : : : :
