RE: (313) Thanks, and new stuff
I heard Mark Force playing the new Domu remixes of Red Nose District Sunday @ Co-op (what I heard of Seiji's set was really nice, BTW). Anyway, the Red Nose remix sounded amazing loud. yes! there is one Domu mix that is just beats that is cool too, it's actually my favorite mix... i think it's called Domu's NY beats or something like that.. (??) awesome mix tool and chunky cut up production. Also in a similar vein another to check out is new release on a label called AMALGAMA by Titonton... nice sounds.. includes a Seiji remix (as Opaque). Anyone know who is behind this label BTW? Finally, also doing it for me is Genre (AKA - nwachukwu) 2-tracker on Surplus... groovy and funky. There is so much good music coming out right now it's disgusting. Seems like it... distributors like Goya and the Dutch lables now are blowing the top off of this broken-techno crossover, there's nice detroit sounds too... Titonton, and I'd like to see Double Helix and Recloose get some more mixes and releases out there. And Hello, Scattered Snares comp on Twisted Funk??? That comp is just SICK! peace, Matt MacQueen

That comp is just SICK! yeah, im really feeling this comp for sure. mark mac's got a nice 313 feeling techno track on there, and that moonstarr downtempo joint is hot as well as all the twisted broken beat tunes. tom andythepooh.com

Tristan Watkins: That new Convextion on Downlow sounds really amazing! it does 'stiletto caress' woohoo! and how about that new duplex record haven't heard anyone about that. IT'S GREAT! as you'd come to expect from duplex [it's called 'autoload'on clone] Per Marsel's recommendation the Moxie disco re-edits also sounded really nice. that '...sins..' [forgot the title of the track, but it had 'sins' in it] is that a re-edit of 'anger' from the 'seven deadly sins' lp by rinder lewis? There is so much good music coming out right now it's disgusting. hear, hear! right at the time that i'm eating pancakes for diner once or twice a week because i'm broke... and there's tons more to come out: recloose rmx of a meikbar track on rushhour, stuff on kindred spirits [can't wait for 'the kissing game' lp by peven everett], the s#!t load of releases stewart just mentioned on digital soul. and last but not least, someone on the submerge messageboard mentioned that there's tons of stuff to be comming from submerge before the end of this year!! jurren _ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8. Scattered Snares is really nice. The Nubian Mindz cut on there is really wacky, but I think the Somatik track is the one for me. Not specifically [313], but other stuffs I'm really feelin' right now are the Yoruba Soul (Osunlade) remix of DJ Jazzy Jeff's 'Rock Wit U' (the original is sick too) and Marvin is One by Focus (Phil Asher) on Versatile, both sound typical for them, but are great examples of what they do. What is really killing me though is Theo Parrish's 'Falling Up' on the Beatdown com, and the Rick Wilhite track, but 'Falling Up' really does it for me. Maybe the best Theo Parrish track yet???
