RE: (313) Ulrich Schnauss UK Tour
Is it possible that it's been cancelled? The whole damn tour?!?! I see this snippet of text after entering 'Ulrich Schnauss UK tour 03' in Google: "... 12/03/2003 Ulrich Schnauss author: Shlom We're currently in the process of booking a UK tour for Mr Schnauss for the first two weeks in June, timed to coincide " Entering the link takes me to some text in Boomkat.com, but the earlier info about a European tour doesn't come up. Shlom is one of the properietors of CCO. I'm going through the CCO website right now. k >-Original Message- >From: Michael Lees [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2003 12:44 PM >Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Org >Subject: Re: (313) Ulrich Schnauss UK Tour > > > > >Odeluga, Ken wrote: >> >> MOOG BAR, NOTTINGHAM, with ISAN support - June 1st > >Don't suppose anyone knows what time (evening/day) this will take place >on Sunday? yup - great remix by Autechre, I was delighted to see that they kind of respected the original, left the mood of it... eager to see what Clifford's label will release in the future ! also purchased the Disjecta EP(FUS001) but haven't even listened to it yet... As likely to hear Adult as Adam and the Ants as Seefeel as ... you name it. Dave doesn't toot his own horn, but this sort of rampant eclecticism is a key component of what Detroit music is all about. Now if I could just figure out how to get live365 to play nice with Linux...

I haven't heard "Far Away Trains", but I'm listening to "A Strangely Isolated Place" for the first time right now (it was posted to Usenet's alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.electronic, btw) and I'll definitely confirm the "wider range of moods" - the first track "Gone Forever" sounds like "Loveless"-era My Bloody Valentine doing Boards of Canada, and the second track "On My Own" sounds like an electronic MBV if they were doing a Wire cover (*!*). And that's just the first two tracks :) - Greg P.S. He gets Style Points for naming two tracks "Monday Paracetamol" and "Blumenthal" (a Paracetamol researcher) :)

It's phenomenal -- wider range of moods, more imaginative beats. -Original Message- From: m a t t [d] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, May 07, 2003 10:20 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Org Subject: Re: (313) Ulrich Schnauss UK Tour > >Ah yes, I heard he will have something new coming out in June. :) > > I hope so, I've almost worn out that 'Far Away Trains ...' thing! :o) It's called "A Strangely Isolated Place" and promo copies are out.
