RE: (313) attending music festivals?

2004-01-12 Thread Robert Taylor
After popping my Sonar cherry last year, Sonar is going to be my yearly holiday
for as long as Sonar runs.
There's a lot of extra events - digital art exhibitions but no conferences or
panels

Not counting Movement - anyone considering going to either WMC or Sonar?

I'm trying to find other music festivals that have more than just a stage
and performances

panels, conferences, etc. is what I'm looking for
but also performances too

Totally - Sonar is an essential yearly fixture! A perfect blend of music
both classic and cutting edge, in one of the finest surroundings you could
wish for - if you haven't been before I can't recommend it highly enough ;-)

There are actually a few conferences and panel events upstairs there, but
nothing on the scale of the other festivals - but there are also a huge
amount of peripheral events happening throughout the city - a lot of related
installations, performances etc... The city itself is a cultural haven all
year round, so you can never be short of something decent to go to...
