Re: (313) if you drove in to work today.

2005-02-02 Thread Gerald

There's also the megamix competition available for d/l on the same page.
30 - 15mins mixes in all... i think. Plus you can vote on your top 5 mixes -
not sure what the winner gets though. but there's some pretty excellent
mixes... and i think a list member or two might have a mix in the
competetion - which i'm sure they'd appreciate all of us voting for!

Cheers!

First tunes this morning: (does that count?) a love supreme by mr.
Coltrane...

That spanners album is one of the first records I ever bought on wax... I
remember a new years eve with one of my best mates where we decided to,
enjoying a night in, have a listen to this album and then kinda give it a
'review'...

Well it took us a second or so to come up with a review after listening the
entire album out: its brilliant.

I think that was ten years ago... I still think its a gem.

What did you have coming out of the speakers in your car? Though I
don't
remember loading it in the player, I had the spanners CD from the
black

dog. It was cold and foggy this morning so the spanner tunes set an
appropriate mood.

First tunes this morning: (does that count?) a love supreme by mr.

That spanners album is one of the first records I ever bought on
wax... I
remember a new years eve with one of my best mates where we decided
to,
enjoying a night in, have a listen to this album and then kinda give
it a

'review'...

Well it took us a second or so to come up with a review after
listening the

entire album out: its brilliant.

I think that was ten years ago... I still think its a gem.

Cold and foggy here as well. I was enjoying the CD of my live set last
July:

well i drove to school. and back. a couple times. argh i hate
having to drive as much as i do during the week. anyway, all day
today i was rocking my shoddily mixed 2-step's greatest hits
tape that i made a couple months back. i used this broke ass pair
of headphones that were cutting out most of the time to make the
mix just because i needed some of those tunes on tape in my car
and i didnt have my nice headphones with me. so the results are
not the best but theyre good enough. the tunes make the tape,
suburban lick's youre mine, groove chronicles stone cold,
wookie get enuff, artful dodger it ain't enough, etc.
