And you weren't actively watching Corrie, right, G? It just happened to
be on, right? ;) Andrew

2002-10-16 Thread Robert Taylor
I see your fellow ressie is Mark Forshaw. Am I getting him confused with
Michael Forshaw of Chan N Mikes or are they one and the same/brothers?

Why thankyou Jonny. Glad you enjoyed it so much, and we likewise enjoyed
your company once again.
A truly fantastic night was had by all, whether for Jonny's set or seeing a
huge visual on the wall of Jean-Claude Van Damme's dance routine in
'Kickboxer' movie.
I knew it was going to be good as Jonny opened up with Larry Heard - Music
Takes Me Up.
I am still intrigued, as I know you are Jonny, to find out the origin of one
punter's claim that you had played UR's Seawolf at 33rpm. Answers on a
postcard.

Anybody who is willing to venture next time then I will see you on:

Friday November 8th
t-funkshun @ Masque Theatre, Seel Street, Liverpool L1
Baby Ford (ifach, trellik, background, force tracks)
Andy Nicolson (fissure)

plus residents Mark Forshaw Scott McGill

info at www.tfunkshun.com or www.masquevenue.co.uk

Cheers,
Scott

Just a quickie to file my report on Scott McGill T-Funkshun's new
Liverpool night. These guys are really doing their bit to represent
quality
music in Liverpool, and they're a great bunch - I had a great time on
Friday
night. They are also doing their bit to support the local licensed
trade:
I left three of them at 2pm the following day, still in the pub, with a
large queue of Sambucas lined up. I bow down... ;) The next couple of
nights
with Baby Ford and then Luke Solomon will be great, never mind Valentine's
Day. I also bumped into an old school friend, Jamie Ball, whose Turning
Point records are as bonkers and scary as I'd expect. Check out Mark
Forshaw's Revolution - with a healthy dose of Rob Hood influence.

 0151 represents!

I'm thinking maybe Tyree's Video Crash?

Superfluous mixing. Heh heh. I hear there's a lot of that about these days.

that. I regard Jonny right up there as a dj; superfluously mixing through
 house, disco, soul, techno, whatever.
