Not now it isn't (I hear). Didn't you say something like please Juan don't
cancel?...

(MEK I don't think Robin minds me forwarding this private mail to the list -
and don't be too hard on the other guy as it did seem like Shake had sent it
to him but addressed it to GW so maybe it wasn't meant to be that private.
Still don't understand the cyber mobbing stuff though ;-)

I'll be around if you want to meet up and am going to Sequence. That line
up looks amazing - I was going to post about it on here for Northern UK
peepz who hadn't seen it - there's even more quality than Toby lists below.
The venue is the old Paradise Factory (one time Factory Records offices and
popularmid 90s club).

16th February 2008
9.00pm till 5.00am
£15 ADVANCE TICKETS

ROOM ONE: -
Clark - LIVE (Warp Records)
Robert Hood presents The Grey Area (Hoodmusic, Music Man / M Plant)
Surgeon (Counterbalance, Dynamic Tension, Downwards)
Rob Hall (Skam, Gescom)

ROOM TWO: -
Matthew Dear presents Audion - LIVE (Spectral Sound)
Redshape - LIVE (Delsin, Music Man)
Andy Stott - LIVE (Modern Love)
Daz Quayle (SCSI-AV)

Residents: -
Computer Controlled, Mark Turner P45

BOTH ROOMS POWERED BY FUNKTION ONE!

Sequence have a really good track record here in Manchester. The people
who have just taken over the Paradide Factory have a little more mixed
reviews - the last things they did were the 2 Warehouse Projects which had
some sound (and other, e.g. beer price) issues but hopefully the above
indicates they've sorted the sound and will be thinking a bit more about
retaining trade with a regular club.

For more information go to: http://www.computercontrolled.co.uk
Sequence MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/computercontrolledmcr

Tiby gimme a holler about hooking up. Where is the Jamal Moss gig?

Re: (313) what's in today's bag

2008-01-17 Thread robin

In my bag this week:

I have that Don Williams 12 too. Nice deep techno. Need to hunt down
that Prosumer 12.

Omar S - Psychotic Photosynthesis - FXHE
Wicked track but I seem have snagged a bad pressing. And in terms of
value one-sided 12s suck.

Afefe Iku - Body Drumming - Yoruba
Blinding title track. Catchy and deep, beat that.

Luciano - études électroniques - Cadenza
Head for 'Masalla'. Sounding like Jamal Moss but with some grip on
audio levels :)

Slowhouse - Slowhouse2 - Slowhouse Recordings
Three deep tracks. Nice.

Dubbyman - Dubtroit ep - Deep Explorer
Mike Huckaby mix on here. Two killer slow tracks from Dubbyman too.

Ovatow - XDub
More BC-alike tracks but nicely done all the same.

Eric D Clark - G Movimente - Detroit Wax
Kinda badly bass heavy but there's something about the original mix I
like. The flip has an EFF and Niko Marks remix with added vocal about
monkeys.

John Daly - Move/Oceans - Feel
More in the vein of the progressive-style stuff like Studio than his
usual deep house gear but I like that style too.

Letroset - Herz Aus Glas - Point One
Don't buy much electro-ish stuff at the moment but this stood out.
