it came outin 1995 on 'from manchester with
love'(http://www.discogs.com/release/134526)
i have it. not much to get excited about. fairly hard and fast with drum
rolls, as i remember. it's been relegated to the back of a cupboard
somewhere.

I've heard a remix of Blue Monday by Richie Hawtin before,
but I'm not totally sure if it was done under the Plastikman
alias. I wasn't totally blown away by it, to be honest, but
it's a while since I last gave it a listen (it's at home on
my hard drive...)

Yeah you are right it is an absolute classic - in fact
even so much so that it was the biggest selling 12
single of all time! Nice one to the lads from
 Manchester!

Also a favourite of Carl Craig - he dropped it last
 record at the Electric Chair-Oxford Road-Manchester a
couple of months ago. Lovely! :)

To get the orginal on Factory you have to dig deep in
second hand shops. I will keep am eye out for you.

Correction: the B-side is The Beach. It's the instrumental version of Blue
Monday.

I happened to see a Video Clip of it last saturday night, on the popular
Australian all night music vid programme, RAGE. It was New Order doing Blue
Monday live on Count Down .. :)

Nice to see a bit of synth porn there too. I counted a Sequential Circuits'
Prophet 5, a Moog Source, and a Memory Moog.. yu. lots of old analogue
gear.. :)

Whatever you do, don't get this on 12. Get Power, Corruption Lies or
Substance and play some of their other songs. Blue Monday is played out. I
play New Order about every other time I've spun for the last year or two
(since I started searching it out on vinyl), and I haven't played Blue
Monday since the early '90s. It was played out back then!

Bring it on! Don't get me started on New Order...

recently completed an electro mix of blue monday..I'll get him to post it mp3

We're going to test the reaction tonight at a club and see what happens..I plan
on mixing in right after the Miss Kitten The Hacker remix of Eurythmics Sweet

looking forward to seeing how the hell a mainstream club reacts to electro ;)
