RE: [313] DEMF 2002 poster - yikes.
This is the most horrible thing Ive seen... Why not go the route of 'Beyond the 3rd Wave'? That at least had artistic sensibility. This looks like a really bad Go-Bots advert. Yeah Yeah, it's a matter of opinion but that's pretty lame. It doesn't say anything to me about the soul or history of the music, in fact, it makes it seem just like I don't want it to, robotic and soulless. - Giles D I G I T A S // B O S T O N -- Giles Dickerson Art Director 800 Boylston Street Boston, MA 02199 -- mobile 617 899 9635 office 617 369 8601 -- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, April 12, 2002 1:37 PM To: Giles Dickerson Subject: RE: [313] DEMF 2002 poster http://www.freep.com/entertainment/music/poster12_20020412.htm - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

hehe ... if they were going to do robots and DJs, they could have *at least* asked Alan to do it. :) At 12:39 PM -0600 4/12/2002, Holly MacDonald-Korth wrote: oh, it's horrible. oh, it's horrible. HORRIBLE. rave it up, detroit. I can't really agree more. Instead of appealing to people who *aren't* already into techno, house, etc, they've done it up full rave stylee. No room for families, older folks, and those cute dancing kiddies of yore. Make room for the baggiepants massif! The kicker, to me, is this: 20 of the artists/bands/acts have recently (within 4 years) played in eastern Iowa, either Cedar Rapids or Iowa City. Oh well, I'll prolly still go. : ) Vince Woolums AOL IM: vincewoolums http://bnsrecords.gemm.com http://www.recordcollectorinc.com - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
