RE: (313) Chez Damier?

2005-09-09 Thread Stoddard, Kamal
It's the kids in the streets joint. With chez on vox. The kids in the
streets are mattias vogt and c-rock from Sweden. But the presence of
chez is all over this track. To the point where it may as well be
produced by chez and engineered by the kids and (imo) shoulda been
released on prescription. But you asked for snips though didn'tcha?

I can confirm this was an excellent night.
But if he was such a good guy why did the promoters leave him outside on
the
street at the end of the night competing with the punters for a taxi?

That is so poor.

Well that's good. I've heard a few stories about promoters treating
their performers a bit shabby after the show.

A mate of mine even told me about one veteran Chicago DJ who ended-up in
a fist fight with his promoter after the party!!!

Not cricket. (Nor is England vs Bangladesh at the moment, for that
matter ... ;-)

I should do a little better research next time; he's also got a second
release out called Your Love.

Not sure if this ever made it to the list, 'cause I'm missing over
24 hours of 313 emails. But I wouldn't want anyone to miss this, so
therefor the repost:

Just came across this:

Saturday March 12th - Substance
@ Darkroom bar Chicago

What are you made of? Wax Addict Records and Soul Foundation are
proud to present the return of House icon Chez Damier (Prescription,
KMS, Track Mode) as their very special guest along with residents
Brian Gardner and BJak. $5 cover after 11pm. 9pm-3am.

I can't go myself, since I'm in Holland, so not really in the
neighbourhood. But if anyone's planning on going to this, I'm very
interested in reading a report.

I wonder if he's planning on releasing some new stuff as well

First we had one from AS ONE this year on ubiquity.. one from STASIS will
follow soon on peacefrog... now one of chez damier... real nice (especially
because those early prescription records are damn hard to find).

Thanks for the good news, Alex!
