Sometimes the boldest move an artist can make is to cater to an
imaginative adolescent whim or two. It's what separates good classic
techno from the forgettable self-important sonic wallpaper of IDM.
So until I make my own techno movie, give me "Nude on the Moon,"
"Attack of the Giant Leeches," "Battle Angel," "Stalker," "Godzilla
2000," and "Robocop."
That should make the embarrassed-by-sci-fi crowd cringe a little.
Stewart: would not have pegged you as a Tetsuo fan.
