SV: (313) transmat

1999-09-21 Thread Aril.Brikha

it´s a shame that i´m asleep when all these discussions are going
down...have to get a pc
at home to, this could be fun:)

all the tracks from the album are gonna be released on vinyl and it will
mastered this week.
if there is any place left well try to throw in some new tracks...at least i
want to. it´s gonna
be released as 3 singles and probably just follow the tracklisting on the
cd.

ps. i don´t either own a may single, it´s not painfully i´m admitting this,
i see it as an interesting
thing where music of the same vibe and spirit can be done on the other side
of the atlantic without
even being exposed to the original.

peace,

aril

zach: aril brikha's full length isn't scheduled for
a vinyl release, *but* there are a number of singles
planned, so most of it will eventually end up on
vinyl. brikha interview coming up on a future
edition of Andrew Duke's In The Mix. andrew duke :)

yes, i must painfully admit i never owned all of derrick's may's prime
material. instead of trying to grab all the 12's i must say i am now
 the
very pleased and proud owned of an innovator box set. so essential. may
  tracks caanot be overplayed...

the aril brikha album deeparture in time is also very nice...but has it
been learned if this will be put out on vinyl any time soon? i doubt it,
given the fact that the cd to vinyl release plan at transmat is
unpredictable. but aril is just fine for listening as well , of course.

Got a question about Transmats catalognumber for CDs.

This is what I got sofar:

TMT CD-2 Rhythim Is Rhythim Innovator (RS release)
TMT CD-4 Rhythim Is Rhythim Innovator (USA / Transmat release)
TMT CD-5 Various Time : Space

Can someone fill in the blanks? Does the Tony Drake album have a Transmat
 number as well?

Has anyone actually seen the Time: Space compilation on sale in Australian
record stores? I just have a promo but would like the real thing.

Yeah plenty of copies were sold (and some are still available) here in
Perth. THe compilation reached number 4 on the local underground chart in
June. (http://dissonance.space.net.au/ for proof :)

nice price:)

I'm in Sydney and i'd love to see such a lineup here. In fact i'd probably
be willing to throw in some money to make such a tour happen. Others better
connected would have to make it happen, though.

Also sharing the initial airline costs between the numerous capital cities
would make this more a reality if Derrick and the Transmat people decided
they'd like to visit our fair shores. :)

John

You can e-mail me privately so as to not clog up the list if you wish.

Thank you.

John: I'm sure Transmat would love to hear
from yourself and any other interested parties
in your area. Give Derrick Ortencio a call
on TEL (313) 567-0080 if you're interested
in possibly booking (or getting more info
on to give to others about booking) this tour.
hope this helps. andrew duke :)
