4D Write Pro (How to get a negative "first ident"?)

2016-09-27 Thread Jeremy French
Can I specify a negative first indent with 4D Write Pro?

In the legacy 4D Write I am able to specify a negative first indent relative to
the left margin. This allows text in a paragraph to begin before the left
margin. In other words, the first line of a paragraph can print before the left
margin.

When I copy a legacy 4D Write document (which has a negative first indent) to
4D Write Pro, the negative first indent appears to be lost: paragraph text
starts at the left margin instead of some distance before the left margin.

How do I get a negative first ident using 4D Write Pro?

Miyako's Plugins Updated for v15R5 (v16)

2016-09-27 Thread Jason Hect

Miyako, do you have plans to update any of the excellent plugins available at
your github site to work with v16? Specifically I use your XLS, XLS II, and
Capture (2) plugins.

When I try to run the currently available versions with v15R5 I get "Pluging
not intended for this platform" errors.

Thank You!

Re: Auto Open last used database

2016-09-27 Thread Bill Weale
Thanks, Tim, that is exactly what I'm doing. Sure was nice when I didn't have
to and it took a painful amount of time to determine why the auto update was
suddenly failing for 20+ clients.

TinyMCE in Web Area (again)

2016-09-27 Thread Foucauld Perotin
Hi,

TinyMCE is a great editor (that’s what I think) and it does provide clean HTML
tags (that’s what I need). My problem with 4D Write Pro is the permanent use of
. I have no need of font name or font size in my rich text. So, I wish to
use TinyMCE in a web area...

Well, what is the state of the art with the topic of the TinyMCE integration
with 4D?

- Rolf Bachmann kindly provides a free component on Github :

It works with very few 4D code, and it works. Rolf made that in 2013 and
updated it several times. There are 3 releases for 4D v13, v14 and v15. Rolf
uses TinyMCE 4.x for that component. I do not now what changes he made or did
not make in the standard TinyMCE.

- Thomas Maul uses TinyMCE for its Email component. Actually, I have not tried
it. (I thing it was an older version of TinyMCE.)

– In your talks about TinyMCE, some seemed to have difficulties, in particular
refreshment issues.

Rolf Bachmann’s use of TinyMCE is the most simple possible (and it is great
that way). My own needs would make me go further with customization : using
templates, CSS and classes of style, etc.

So, my question: have some of you been further recently using tinyMCE in Web
Area? if yes, what about this work in progress? lot of issues? few? :)

TinyMCE on the web:

Best regards,
