Is the plugin working with v18/v19? I’ll have a look at Wordpress API. Re: Synchronise between 4D and mySQL used in/with WordPress
Jörg, I would always recommend Pluggers myconnect plugin for any MySQL communication from 4D: https://www.pluggers.nl/product/myconnect-plugin/ I have used this to communicate to many MySQL solutions including Joomla and Wordpress. That said communicating to a the underlying database for a Wordpress solution requires carefull consideration. Some parts are very heavily normalised and can be subject to change with upgrades. Possibly, and depending what you are doing you may also want to look at the Wordpress API. Synchronise between 4D and mySQL used in/with WordPress
G’day, Does anybody out there ever had to work with WordPress/mySql? I would be interested in any and all ideas and/or solutions to synchronise data between 4D (Standalone and/or C/S) and mySQL (used by WordPress). Thanks in advance. Re: WordPress
Bob, >> I’ve just been handed a website to host with 4D. No big deal, I thought. >> Except it built with WordPress. If it's a WordPress site then, unless I'm mistaken, you wouldn't actually host it with 4D right? Perhaps your wording is just not conveying the correct intention... I have no experience with WordPress, and I’ll need to host it and have 4D interact with it (the usual - capture incoming queries, name and address data, etc.). >> Ah ok, this makes more sense. >> Is it possible? If so, where do I start? WordPress has a REST API so I would look into that as that would be the integration point with 4D I think.
