Um, yes, but your E-mail client has probably translated the MIME
specifications of Sigfrid's e-mail to MacOS encoding for you and so it
works with BarFly, but try it with abc4mac now...

I looked at this briefly a while back, and couldn't figure it out.
If you get an answer I'd be interested too.

It's quite widely supported now, although there are minor differences
of interpretation between applications.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

[abcusers] My mailid changed. What now ?

2000-07-10 Thread Mark Vandenbroeck

Hi,

My company decided to change all our mailid's. The old one will autoforward for some
time, but one
day it will stop working.

Can someone tell me what I should do to avoid being cut off from this mailing list ?

Thanks and best regards,

Mark

[abcusers] SongWright Notation Convention

2000-07-10 Thread John Leahy

Could someone please help me with a copy of the convention used to notate melody AND
lyrics for SongWright. In particular I am trying to ascertain what process was used
to align notation and lyrics,

What is the current state of the ABC standard for lower case w:?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards, John

BarFly will only place musical line breaks on a bar line.
This means that if you end a line in the middle of a bar
it acts as if there is a \ at the end of the line.

That's what I thought, but actually Sigfried's text looks perfectly
OK in BarFly under MacOS 9.0.4. I'm not absolutely sure that its
correct, since I'm not that familiar with scandinavian letters, but
at least all of the åäö come out as characters with diacritical marks
rather than blocks and squiggles.
