RE: [abcusers] Making PDF (Was: ABC standards committee webpage)

That is exactly what I use to send the postscript files to the printer.
Free, and it works.

Thanks everybody. I just created a postscript printer that I don't

suggested something like this and it works.

I've got a suggestion for an addition to the ABC specification that I hope

Currently, the C: flag indicates the composer field. ABC shows its
instrumental roots in the lack of any way to specify that the words to a
song were written by someone other than the composer of the tune. Now that
ABC supports lyrics, this is a situation that's increasingly common for
 notated songs.

Certainly, you can put both pieces of information in the composer field,
but that limits your flexibility in searching and displaying the data.

Of course, all the uppercase letters are in use for field flags, so I don't
know what would be best -- maybe lowercase c: ?

Is this something that seems valuable to anyone else?

Definitely yes.

"A:" for "author" and ditch the present useless standard label for that field.

I'll second that. I've had numerous uses for this, and "A" sure looks
like the obvious choice. I wonder how many files use the current A
header line? I don't recall ever seeing it outside the examples, but
I haven't been looking for it, either.
