Re: [Accessibility-ia2] How is MSAA+IA2 used for live regions
Hi Pete, Pleas look at the ARIA implementation guide: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/aria-implementation/#mapping_events Section 5.8.2 will show the events fired for document changes within a live region aria-live is not a state. It is a property so you need only look at the property API mapping. Now, how a Braille device is driven in response to an out of context event in polite mode is a function of the AT implementation. Polite basically says to notify the user when you get around to it. If the response were rude the Braille device should be driven immediately. I don't know if there is some timing delay between each item that is announced. There probably should be. Re: [Accessibility-ia2] How is MSAA+IA2 used for live regions
Hi, Pete. Accessible object exposes ARIA live attributes as object attributes, all its descendants expose these attributes with "container-" prefix. When DOM underneath the aria live region is changed then accessible show/hide events are fired. AT listens these events and use object attributes to announce the change. Alex.
