[AI] Tip for retriving serial key

2007-11-19 Thread hpkotian
Hello all
I found this info and I guess it would help those, especially when changing
systems.
Harish.
http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2006/09/18/retrieve-serial-numbers-or-cd-keys-from-your-computer/

KeyFinder Thing is a simple utility to retrieve the Serial numbers or CD Keys
of Microsoft software installed on your system. It includes options to export
the list of found keys and a search option to find keys not included by default.
Whilst this utility is aimed at Microsoft products, the author have built it to
be versatile so he can include other non-MS products. Currently KeyFinder Thing
is able to search for serial numbers or CD keys for 90 software titles. Click
HERE to view the 90 software titles.

Basically there are 2 versions of KeyFinder. The Full and Lite version.

The full version requires you to have
.NET 2.0 FX
installed and it looks like the picture below.

As for Lite version, its smaller! (50kb) and you don't need to have .NET 2.0 FX
installed. But it doesn't have the features of the full version. Its basic and
to the point now and the only dependancy is MSVBVM60.dll. Most of computers
nowadays has MSVBVM60.dll

The Full version has a feature where you can search the registry for other
serial numbers that's not currently supported. I prefer to use the full version
because it's more advance than the Lite version and it's not complicated.
The only drawback is you need to have
.NET 2.0 FX
installed which doesn't come preinstalled in your computer when you install
Windows XP. The best part of this software is it's FREE.

Note: I advice you to only use this great software on your computer if you've
forgotten your serial number or lost your CD key. Using this software on other
computers to steal CD Keys is wrong.

Next there are links to download the software, but the one for the full version
seems no longer leads to download. I had no luck finding or downloading the
full version.
The link for the lite version leads to download JS_Keyfinder_v106

Re: [AI] About N72 and Talks 2.5.

2007-11-19 Thread YADAV, D. N
Hi Amiyo,

No regrets to what you have. Learn to appreciate it the best what you've. I
wonder why your 'Talk' doesn't talk when you've it. Your problem appears
somewhat identical to what I did have sometimes. When my mobile switched off
ever due to complete battery discharge or in some unlikely way, 'talk' did not
automatically start with restart of the phone. In such case, take the help of
a sighted friend to find 'talk' folder. Press open it press option button
(key one). 'Joystick' (understandably arow) twice up until you come to enable
talk press 'Joystick'. now your 'Talk' would start talking. Once you do
with your friend, be sure to remember the stepwise presses to do it yourself
later without anybody's assistance. Normally 'Talk' folder is in the folder
My Own under Menu. You can further contact me personally for 'Talk' Manual
'Talk' version.

With best wishes,

DNY

God, grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change
the courage to change the person I can
and the wisdom to know I am that person.

This news will make many persons happy!

Disabled govt employees to get extra leave

Employees of the Central Government who are disabled will get 10 days of casual
leave over and above the 20 days they already get. This measure, which may

later be emulated by state governments, will be announce before World
Disability Day on December 3.

According to the government notification, the 10 extra days of leave are meant
to enable such employees to participate in conferences, training, workshops

organised at the national and state level agencies.

Sanjiv Sachdeva of Samarthyam, a NGO, says, This move comes after 18-20 people
from the organisation approached the Department of Personnel and Training

requesting them to extend special facilities to people with disability. For the
first time, the government has reacted so quickly.

A DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training) official said, Government
employees are like ambassadors who take it upon themselves to pay back to the
society

what it has received from it. This extra time would give them the opportunity
to come up with solutions for the betterment of the disabled.

I feel sad when piracy goes full swing even for low costing solutions.

We are left with no face to speak to any manufacturers to put up any time
for developing solutions for us.

If we are so stingy in spending then why don't we simply shift to open
source domain where all solutions are available free of cost and we can stop
living like thieves.

There is no windows for Indian Languages
There is no OCR in Indian language
There is no decent TTS for any Indian language.

This is the cost that we pay when we do piracy.

We complain that no one made SAPI compliant TTS. It takes 6 months of 4
programmers to make non SAPI TTS into a SAPi compliant one. If Prologix
decides to do it for us then we will make them to starv or force them to
close down their company due to losses.

We cannot scan any Indian language books. We all complain about this. Why do
you think ABBYY would be interested to create a Indian language OCR? Do you
think they will be able to recover their cost here?

Is Vachak so unaffordable?

Regarding licensing Vachak, I don't know, it should have worked if
you'd followed the steps exactly because it's been working fine with
me. Anyway, I've separately uploaded license files which you can
 download from

 ProLicense.dat:
 http://www.sendspace.com/file/4i8y0k

 ProLicense.txt:

 Now, try this out again:
 1. Go to your Vachak directory (in program files, where Vachak has
been installed, insure: This directory must have more than 8/9 files,
some files must be named something similar to 'vachak.dll',
 'lang.dll'.)
 2. Copy both the license files you just downloaded. (If Confirm file
replace dialog appears, click Yes to All/Yes button) 3. Go to the
program folder of LSW (Insure: This folder must have more than 20
files, some names are - 'DocEdit.exe', 'license.rtf', 'user
 manual.def'.)
 4. Copy both the downloaded license files here too (Click Yes if any
replace confirmation dialog appears.) 5. Now Start document editor,
run Vani with F5, choose Hindi... from the language menu, and type
something, if Vani speeks the typed character, Hurrah!

If this doesn't work, Tell me, I have one last alternative.

[AI] Changes between final public beta and the 9.0.515Final Release

2007-11-19 Thread Mamta
Hello every one!
Finally Jaws 9 Has released!
Hope that Now we will be able to work more efficiently with Vista!

Below are the enhancements posted on the What's New page of JAWS 9 that
were made, between the last public beta and the final release of
9.0.515.

Enhancements In JAWS 9.0.515 (19 November 2007)

The following is a list of items addressed between the final JAWS 9.0
public beta release and the final JAWS 9.0.515 posting.

* After posting the final JAWS 9.0 public beta release, Google(tm)
released an updated version of Gmail. The final JAWS 9.0 release has
been adjusted to resolve the problems the newly updated Gmail
introduced.
* An issue with the Winamp command ALT+CTRL+DOWN ARROW (Move
Select to Current Track) has been resolved for the final JAWS 9.0
release.
* Resolved a problem in Outlook 2003 where Outlook would not
properly shut down in some cases. The result was that Outlook.exe was
still running in the Task Manager after shutting it down if JAWS 9.0 was
running. This problem started during the public beta 9.0.467 build.
* JAWS correctly reports the duration of each appointment when
multiple appointments are scheduled on a single day in Microsoft Outlook
Calendar. Time slots between appointments are not included as part of an
appointment.
* When the header and footer are opened in a Word document, JAWS
now announces if focus is in the header or footer when you press UP
ARROW or DOWN ARROW to move between the two.
* When a tree view group is expanded, JAWS now announces the
number of items in the group as expected.
* JAWS selects and reads the next or previous paragraph in an
Outlook e-mail message when you press CTRL+SHIFT+DOWN ARROW or
CTRL+SHIFT+UP ARROW.
* JAWS no longer pauses or hangs when deleting an e-mail message
during a Say All in Windows Mail or Outlook Express.

hope this helps!
many thanks!

see and yet NOT SEE.

[AI] The path to love

2007-11-19 Thread Shadab Husain
Lifeclass: Loneliness is the only handicap

Last Updated: 12:01am GMT 20/11/2007

Have your say

For an isolated blind man in love with a married
woman, there are many other ways to find fulfilment in
a real relationship, writes Lesley Garner

Dear Madam,

I am 23 years old and blind. My family background is
difficult, so I no longer live at home but I still
feel the need to be taken care of.

Table with 2 columns and 2 rows

All by myself: Isolation doesn't have to be difficult
to overcome

All by myself: Isolation doesn't have to be difficult
to overcome
table end

My real problem is that I have fallen in love with a
lady who is 10 years older than me - however, she is
married. I asked a counsellor how I could free
myself from her.

He advised me to tell myself that she is nothing more
than an image in my mind. But that doesn't work when I
am alone in my room at night or when I hear
her voice. I want an emotional support.

Yes, I am blind, but what to do with the human heart
and all its emotional and physical needs? Sometimes I
think that I will not be able to cope without
a faithful partner. I have no family support and
living alone is depressing. Can you please suggest
what I can do? Rajiv, India

Dear Rajiv,
advertisement
MDMDGNESUNEU/Telegraph_300x250_Exclu_UK

I can tell that you are a resilient person because,
although you tell me that you are blind and live apart
from your family, you believe your real problem
to be that you have fallen in love with an unavailable
woman.

Many people would think that your greatest problem is
your handicap, but you have over-ridden that to focus
on the hell of being in the grip of an unattainable
passion.

My heart goes out to you. At 23, the needs of the
heart and body are intolerably urgent. The only
advantage of age and experience when it comes to
relationships
is that over time you earn the knowledge that one does
fall out of love.

One does survive. A broken heart does mend and set
itself up to be broken all over again. Or, better, it
mends and is offered to somebody who is worthy
of it and who is in a position to offer a whole heart
in return.

There are things you can do about this. We are all
vulnerable to the sparks of infatuation, but it is up
to us whether we fan them into a flame or not.
This woman is not a source of happiness for you but a
painful learning experience.

I doubt this is of any comfort, but the agonising
feeling of falling hopelessly in love with the wrong
person is something that millions of us endure. If
we let it, it simply makes us more human.

I can quite understand that this is harder for you
than it might be for other people of your age because,
in your condition and in your social circumstances,
you have so little to distract yourself from your
obsession.

You have fallen in love from a position of loneliness
and unhappiness and this makes you much more
vulnerable when forming relationships. Of course, it
is harder to turn your thoughts away from the object
of your desire when you spend so much time alone. It
is this social isolation, and not your unrequited
love, that I think is your real problem.

The good news is that there are things you can do to
relieve the isolation. This, in turn, will help you
make new friends, release yourself from your hopeless
love and find a better one.

Your letter has made me think of and find out about
all sorts of problems that I hadn't considered before.
It made me think about the opportunities for
love and match-making that are open to the visually
impaired.

It made think about the opportunities for independent
living and working that might be available to you. It
made me think about what life in India could
be like for someone in your condition who is not
getting support from their family. In short, it sent
me on to Google.

I see no reason why your cry from the heart for love
and companionship, the most fundamental human longing,
should not be answered. I have no statistics
for India, but in America nearly 50 per cent of
visually impaired people are married.

I found visually impaired people posting themselves on
dating websites. The joy of the internet is that
people who find themselves isolated in real life
can reach out and find others to communicate with via
social networking sites. That is the first step to
relieving your isolation.

Even if some of the people you communicate with are in
other countries, they can still provide relief from
the loneliness. You may be alone but you have
access to a computer with software that converts
what's displayed on-screen to speech.

That is a huge advantage. Despite the explosion in
social networking available through your computer,
there is no substitute for the touch of a human hand
and the sound of a human voice. I am sorry that there
are difficulties between you and your family, because
a family is the ground on which we learn to
stand.

If I could help you do one thing to improve your
chances of happiness, it would be to
