SC reinstates visually impaired employee of PSEB Express News Service Posted online Tuesday, January 08, 2008 at hrs New Delhi, January 7 Reminding the Government that disabled persons too are part of the society and can't be denied of their rights, the Supreme Court came to the rescue of a Class IV employee, a linesman with the Punjab State Electricity Board, who lost his vision completely during the service. "The denial of their rights would not only be unjust and unfair to them and their families but would also create larger and graver problems for the society at large," said a Bench comprising Justices G P Mathur and Aftab Alam. "This case highlights the highly insensitive and apathetic attitude harboured by some of us, living a normal healthy life towards those unfortunate fellowmen who fell the victim to some incapacitating disability," the Bench observed as it dealt with a case where the appellant, Bhagwan Dass, was terminated by the PSEB saying that he himself had wanted to retire. Deploring the stand taken by his employer, the court said "From the narrow point of view, the officers were duty bound to follow the law and it was not open to them to allow their own bias to defeat the lawful rights of the disabled employee." Setting aside the decision of the Board terminating the appellant's services from March 21, 1997, the court held it as "bad and illegal." And following the provision of the Disability Act, the Bench further directed Dass to be reinstated, with all due payments to be made to him within six weeks. Justice Alam, who wrote the judgment, noted "From the larger point of view, the officers failed to realise that the disabled are equal citizens of the country and have as much share in its resources as any other citizen." [AI] outlook 2007 again!
In continuation of my troubles with outlook 07, I would like to add that message reading is not a mean task, as messages long enough to be comprehensive are invariably left half read by outlook, and generally they are in usual formats like html etc. further, outlook tries to open each and every url mentioned in the message without any conscious attempt on my part to do so. I have not found any option to get rid of this unsolicited assistance by the wonderful programme. It promises to auto complete addresses while typing to cc etc. but consistently neglects to do so. Any magic wands to make me and outlook 07 be on the same wave length?!! And yes, sorry for any typographical errors as outlook 07 does not afford me the liberty yet to spell check my messages. Ye I have visited and done it. when I say send and receive it asks me my password. even after giving my password, it still continues asking my password. Finally I gave up because I was tired of pressing okay btn. I went to the web page of help, and they said that they are developing and if you have it you can try it. So I had it and I went to the obtion link and I got pop link. Also in the help, I saw the configuration settings but they did not inform whether it needs secure conection or not, or my server needs secure conection. hmm! I see. Well rohit,you have to remove your file extention. To do it,do the following: 1. open windows explorer (you can open any folder like control panel,or my computer or by windows key pluss e). 2. go to tools menu followed by alt pluss t. 3. open folder option followed by o. press control pluss tab,and you're here "view tab". 4. press tab 2 times,and you'll here "three one three view". 5. press h 2 times,and you'll here "hight extention for unknown files types" if this is onn,press space bar to off it. 6. move to ok butten. 7. move to that file which you want to send via g mail. 8. press f 2 and remove the last 3 words from the file. let me show you a example. suppose that you want to send a file,and it's name is,rohit.exe when you do that option,and when you done that,you'll here file name with it's extention,like rohit.exe. you have to remove .exe words from your file name. note don't forgot to renamed it you when you've send that file. Wehn you click the Avast icon on the desktop, it does scan the startup items, but the rest of your harddisk may remain infected. Once the memory and startup items check is complete and viruses are tackled , it opens with a sort of help window. Press X to go to the 'don't show this window' option, enable it and close the program. Click the icon again, wait once again till it completes the memory and startup test. This time, the normal avast window will open. Press the appllication key and you'll get all the available options. The one for 'quick scan' can also be accessed in the way described in the earlier mail, that is, without opening the program. Select the drive, folder or file you want to scan, press the application key, press down errow and select scan and press enter. I found both Blogspot and Wordpress accessible. With Wordpress, the advantage is that one can use programs such as BlogDesk to prepare and upload posts without actualy loging on to the blog website.
