When I think about my career, I have two different streams, Teaching
as well as IT field. But there are a lot of obstracles in both the
streams. Let me explain in detail.
In teaching field,
As I did B.Ed in Maths, many of them are telling I cant get a job
untill I complete my graduation in Arts subject like English, Tamil,
History. Even I Have'nt register in V.I priority in Employment office.
What shall I do to get a job? How shall I approach? Even in the
TRB(Teachers recruitment Board) exam there is no V.I category for

about the problems after getting job. How can I avoid those problems?
I have one year teaching experience in a Matriculation schoolShant Raghavan

training if needed and also help you find a suitable job.

Best wishes!

IT field? I am very good at debugging the errors. I am very much

Hi Rajesh,

The best kind of hands on training is possible with face-to-face
contact. I can however train you over skype. There is a mini tutorial
on the site. I have also written a tutorial which is at:

Subject: Re: [AI] mobile as colour identifier

 Hi Himalaya and all,

The vOICe does indeed have a free color identifier. You can get it at
 http://www.seeingwithsound.com

You need the mobile java version of the vOICe. The vOICe does work with
Talks and I believe with mobile speak.

The vOICe can report colors of the shape that is in the center of the camera
view. However, an interesting mode is the analyze mode where you can set
the vOICe to cycle through all the colors it knows. It will then speak the
color and will also then sound that part of the view. So, if you have a blue
tea shirt with green stripes, the vOICe will sound the blue part of the
tea-shirt when it says blue and then also sound the stripes when it says
green. This is handy for situations where you have items that have more
than a single color. There is also a color filter where you can set the
vOICe to sound objects that have a specific color. So, if I am looking for
the green biscuit box on a table, I set the vOICe to only tell me about
green objects and then focus the phone on the objects on the table. Once I
hear a sound, I determine its position and then reach out for the box and
take it. I have a blog that is mostly about the vOICe. You can see it at
 http://techesoterica.wordpress.com.

 Note:
For those of you who want to access the seeingwithsound.com site on your
mobile phones, you can navigate to
http://phone.seeingwithsound.com and download the vOICe from that page.

When using mobile phone based color identifiers, you need to take ambient
lighting into account. Colors appear different under different levels of
light. Do remember to keep the camera in a way that light falls on to the
object that you are examining. I have been often asked what is the
difference between a mobile phone color identifier and a dedicated color
identifier. The difference lies in a reference light. Dedicated color
identifiers have a reference light that can be used by the color identifier
when checking the color of an object. Mobile phone color identifiers do not
have such a light hence the variable accuracy. You could well ask why not
use the flash incorporated into most mobile phones? The problem lies with
the programming support for the flash in java and how well symbian and other
operating systems support this across phones. There is a surprising amount
of variability in the kind of java support available across phones.

Re: [AI] Desktop goes into stand by mode

2009-12-21 Thread Arpit Jain
Hi!!

When you say that it goes into stand-by whenever you press any key
does that mean that be it any key on the keyboard or any specific key
because there is usually a Sleep key on the keyboards which might be
pressed accidently .
If this is not the case, try scanning your computer for viruses. I bet
this should be the problem if this problem has started occuring
suddenly because I have never in 8 years faced such an issue.
Just try and tell us if your problem persists.

Hi Rajesh,

The best kind of hands on training is possible with face-to-face
contact. I can however train you over skype. There is a mini tutorial
on the site. I have also written a tutorial which is at:

This mail of yours gives an impression that the software can be used

 also listened to the chat.
Now, I would like to have some hands-on-training to use it optimally.
Is there any training link on the site?
Maybe, there is, but I could not open it.
Please guide further so that such a software can be of maximum use.
Is it particularly helpful in navigating alone indoors or outdoors?

 Hi Himalaya and all,

The vOICe does indeed have a free color identifier. You can get it at
 http://www.seeingwithsound.com

You need the mobile java version of the vOICe. The vOICe does work with
Talks and I believe with mobile speak.

The vOICe can report colors of the shape that is in the center of the
camera
view. However, an interesting mode is the analyze mode where you can set
the vOICe to cycle through all the colors it knows. It will then speak the
color and will also then sound that part of the view. So, if you have a
blue
tea shirt with green stripes, the vOICe will sound the blue part of the
tea-shirt when it says blue and then also sound the stripes when it says

Dedicated color
identifiers have a reference light that can be used by the color
identifier
when checking the color of an object. Mobile phone color identifiers do
not
have such a light hence the variable accuracy. You could well ask why not
use the flash incorporated into most mobile phones? The problem lies with
the programming support for the flash in java and how well symbian and
other
operating systems support this across phones. There is a surprising amount
of variability in the kind of java support available across phones.

Re: [AI] Regarding Internet Explorer 8

2009-12-21 Thread Annavaram

Hi,

it's absolutely accessible. but there are a couple of things that you've to
keep in mind if you wish to migrate to IE8:
first, it works relatively slow, especially if you have a ram less than 512
MB of space. so ensure that your PC has a ram with enough capacity to handle
the process.
second, it's lay out is slightly different and has many new features,
sometimes complicating the simple operations.

I think the better choice would be to try IE7 which comes with almost the
same features but is light weight. one of the biggest advantages I found out
in both IE7 and IE8 is that these browsers have an integrated RSS feed
reader which comes very handy, if at all one wants himself/herself wish to
get updated about the world around!
