Usually hackers are not necessarily that sofisticated and they mainly
want to bombard you with unwanted ads through pop-up windows. So your
main aim at this stage should be to clean-up the PC by use some kind
of spy removal software. There are several free programs available on
the market and just Google it.

I am using a HP mini and it's really good. They managed to include
regular laptop keyboard excluding page-up page-down home end insert
and delete keys. I also like it's performence. I had to spend $299 at

 Hello,
Right now, there is no (Medical, Ayurvedic, Homiopeth) treatment
available for RP. Researches are going on, so have patience.
My suggestion to you is, stop running after treatments, as there is no
treatment available right now, and if any Doctor tells you that he
can cure your disease, that person is fooling you. So be careful. It
will be good if you concentrate on your future/career.

 Here you go.
 SkypeTalking
 Version 0.7
 Copyright (c)2010 Hrvoje Katiæ
 Project website: http://skypetalking.googlecode.com

 1. Introduction

SkypeTalking is a utility that makes Skype, a popular Internet telephony
program more accessible and blind user friendly. It uses Skype API wrapper and
your screen reader speech and braille output for obtaining information from
Skype and sending that information to your screen reader. SkypeTalking will
announce most Skype alerts, including user's status changes, incoming and
outgoing chat messages, call statuses, and much more! In short, SkypeTalking
will simply make Skype talk to you! SkypeTalking was primarily developed for
NVDA, a free and open source screen reader, to allow NVDA more access to Skype
application. However, it will also support JAWS, Window-Eyes, System Access and
SAPI5 speech, though with SAPI5 you will not have braille support.
 1.1. System requirements

To use SkypeTalking successfully, you need the following:
 * Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7
 * Any supported screen reader: Currently supported screen readers are NVDA
2010.1 Beta or later, JAWS (any version), Window-Eyes (any version) or System
Access (any version). * If you don't use any of supported screen readers, a
SAPI5 speech will be used instead. In such case, you should have any SAPI5
compatible voices (Windows systems come with at least one SAPI5 voice) * And of
course, Skype client application (3.x, 4.x or later) - will probably work with
Skype 2.x and possibly with 1.x, though not tested.
 2. How to use

 2.1. Installation and first run

To install SkypeTalking, launch SkypeTalking_setup.exe and follow the
instructions. The installation will create a desktop icon, a program group in
the start menu, and the installation folder found under x:\SkypeTalking where x
is your system drive letter. To uninstall SkypeTalking, you can do this by
opening SkypeTalking program group in the start menu and choose Uninstall
SkypeTalking. To launch SkypeTalking, click SkypeTalking icon either from your
desktop or SkypeTalking entry in a start menu under programs\SkypeTalking. When
you launch SkypeTalking for the first time, it will be probably unauthorized to
communicate with Skype application. For security reasons, Skype doesn't allow
any 3rd-party plugins and extras to communicate with it without user
permission. This is to prevent viruses and trojans from damaging Skype. To
allow SkypeTalking's access to Skype, do the following: 1. Launch SkypeTalking,
either from the desktop or from within the start menu under
ProgramsSkypeTalking. You should here Connecting to Skype.
 2. Open Skype.
 3. Go to menu bar, select tools, and then arrow up to options and press Enter.
 4. Arrow down to the Advanced category.
 5. Press Shift+Tab repeatedly until you land on Manage other program's access
to Skype link. Press Spacebar to activate it. 6. Find SkypeTalking in a list
(it should be usually a first item), tab to Change button, and press Spacebar
to activate it. 7. Press Tab. You should hear that you are positioned on a
Radio Button that says Do not allow this program access to Skype. Arrow up
untill you hear Allow this program access to Skype, and then press Enter. 8.
Voila! You just allowed SkypeTalking to use Skype! SkypeTalking should now say
Success. You can now press Escape multiple times to exit options. You even
don't need to save them. Note, you will have to repeat these steps each time
when you reinstall SkypeTalking, but don't worry, you have to do this only once
per SkypeTalking installation. You will also have to do this if changing
SkypeTalking.exe location.
 2.2. How to use

Once launched, SkypeTalking will run in a background and read alerts aloud
until you close it. SkypeTalking has keyboard shortcuts that you can use to
control SkypeTalking's behaviour and get any particular information repeated or
spoken. All SkypeTalking's keyboard shortcuts are in combination with Alt, Ctrl
and Shift keys (Alt+Ctrl+Shift+Something). Thus we can say that Alt+Ctrl+Shift
keys act as a SkypeTalking modifier. So to issue a commend, you hold
Alt+Ctrl+Shift (SkypeTalking Modifier), and press any other key while holding
it down.
 2.3. Keyboard shortcuts

The following keyboard shortcuts are currently available in SkypeTalking:
Alt+Ctrl+Shift+A - Display About Dialog - This dialog shows the current
version of SkypeTalking, copyright information, web site information etc.
Alt+Ctrl+Shift+S - SkypeTalking Settings Dialog - Allows you to adjust behavior

Re: [AI] behaviour of my superior

2010-09-26 Thread namdeo2000
Hello Mahesh, Humiliation and undermining the caliber and capability of
handicap citizens in general, and, blind in particular, by their respective
employers and public is quite common. However, this is very outrageous and
absolutely unacceptable and uncalled for. Instead of withdrawing your
nomination, you should have taken this matter to media. Media nowadays has
become very effective means of creating public awareness and uncovering
frauds.

Just 1 or 2 suggestions. whenever you anticipate any feud with your
superior, put your mobile on recording mode so that he /she can not deny or
backtrack from the statements they have made and the language being used.
Secondly, Try to catch hold of some journalist so that you can consult
him/her and opt for help when need be.- Original Message -

Dear Friends--

I am writing to this list after a long time. I wish to tell you an
incident happened in my office , which shocked me.

Every year, a delegation goes from my office, C-DAC, to participate in
SuperComputing conference in USA. This year I put my self-nomination
for this. I am the most qualified and most senior person for the job.

But my boss called me for a one-to-one discussion and informed me that
it will be 'embarrasing' to send a person (VI) like me in . the
delegation. Because I will require someone's support and will hold
someone's hand. Also if some accident happens to me because of my
disability, he and office will be hold responsible for why they sent
such a person.

I was really shocked and upset with the behaviour. Then I withdrew my
nomination for participation in the conference.

Friends, I want to show you that how these learned so-called superiors
fail to understand the VI peoples aspirations and behave in such a
nonsense way.

Thanks for sharing my concerns.

Hi Mahesh,

Please do not get me wrong for asking you these questions, but how
independent are you? Do you travel to work and move around within the
office

on your own? Do you use a white cane? Do you travel independently outside
Pune on your own, be it for official or private purposes?

The impression colleagues at work have of us blind people is to a large
extent dependent on the way we conduct ourselves. If a blind person
requires

assistance to move around within the office or to commute to work,
colleagues will always assume that blind people are dependent. It is not
their fault entirely; that blind person in their office might be the only
blind person they have come across in their whole existence.

Instead of going to the press and publicising this issue, what is probably
required here is for you to have a long and candid talk with your superior
and try and convince him that you are capable of looking after yourself
during the US trip, and that you will not be excessively dependent on the
colleagues traveling with you. You can also ask him to specifically list
out

his reservations; you can then address them individually. If you have
traveled alone previously, tell him how you did so and how independently
you

dealt with the situation. It won't be easy, but each of us will have to
fight this battle on our own.

Finally, if he is not sufficiently convinced and does not agree to send
you
to the conference, do not give up. Whenever opportunities to travel to
local

conferences or other events within Pune or other parts of India arise, be
the first one to apply. He may not be averse to sending you to local
events;
so make full use of it and try to be as independent as possible during
these
events. You will then notice how your superior's impression of you
changes.

Re: [AI] behaviour of my superior

2010-09-26 Thread Srinivasu Chakravarthula
Why is not a problem, if someone do not have mobility skills? Yes,
saying is easy that someone can holh his hand, why should someone has
to invest time to hold him all the time? While we talk about equal
opportunities, when there is possibility, why not we should have
skills of independence?

He may not be averse to sending you to local
 events;
so make full use of it and try to be as independent as possible during
 these
events. You will then notice how your superior's impression of you
 changes.

Subject: [AI] behaviour of my superior

Yes, I agree with Vasu and Geetha. Being dependent is not a sin or crime,
but being independent is definitely an essential requirement when one goes
