[AI] sharing Window7TaskBarPinner, a very tiny but accessible and timeConsuming tool

2013-11-23 Thread shyam sharma
Hi my dear friends, this is only for window7 users.
Did you ever think to pin any song to the TaskBar which you want to
enjoy again and again on just one click?
Yes, you are opening your internetExplorer pressing window+1, you may
be using window+2 to open firefox! but?!? when you have to listen to
your favourite song which you have put into the subFolder called
MyFavourites under the main folder called MyMusic which is located in
E drive of your computer so, what would you do nowadays. obviously you
are doing the following process:
1. Opening run Dialogue Box.
2. typing in there E: to open the E drive.
3. after pressing enter key, you might be looking for the folder named MyMusic?
4. in that folder you search for the sub folder named MyFavourites!
5. then in that subfolder you find your favourite song which you like
to listen to again and again, and there you press enter to play that
one?
Imagine! if these above 5 steps you can jump with in just one command
like you press window+1 or window+2 that you do for launching your
browsers, then?

it is possible just through one trick that you pin the song to the
taskBar with this open source and very tiny software. It is also
accessible for us.
Note: Not just your favourite music!, with this tool you can also pin
any folder, subfolder, any word file, text file to the taskBar which
you access frequently.

Download from here:
http://garr.dl.sourceforge.net/project/taskbarpinner/v1.1/TaskbarPinner%20v1.1.exe

Above you read my words but, below you can follow two original articles.
So, for now!, it's bye from my side.
Best regards to elders and warm regards to my fellow and youngers.

Getting easier access to a Windows 7 shortcut is extremely easy:
right-click, select "Pin to taskbar", and an icon will pop up on your
taskbar, ready for immediate use.
Right-click a file, though -- or a folder, a drive, a Control Panel
applet or just about anything else -- and you’ll find no "Pin" option.
There are various manual workarounds you can apply, but your life will
be much simpler if you grab a copy of Taskbar Pinner, which allows you
to fill the taskbar with just about anything you like.
The program arrives as a tiny (236KB) download. Unzip this and launch
either the 32 or 64-bit Taskbar Pinner, depending on your version of
Windows. (Or if you’re not sure, just pick one, and the program will
tell you if you need to use the other.)
The Taskbar Pinner interface looks much like a regular Windows 7
dialog, and it’s very straightforward. You have four options -- "Pin a
File", "Pin a Folder", "Pin a Shell Location" and "Pin a Library" --
and all you have to do is click one, choose whatever it is you’d like
to pin, and you’re done.
Probably the most interesting option here is "Pin a Shell Location",
as this gives you access to all kinds of system features (not just
your own folders). So you can pin Control Panel applets, Windows Help,
the Recycle Bin, Windows Search, the Run box and more.
Whatever you select can be removed in the usual way, just by
right-clicking and selecting the "Unpin" option.
And if you think you’ll use Taskbar Pinner a lot, then checking the
"Explorer context menu" allows you to access it from Explorer, or the
desktop, without needing to manually launch the program first. To pin
a file, folder or drive to the taskbar, say, you’d just right-click
them, select "Pin with Taskbar" and the shortcut will be added right
away.

Hi all,
Organizing a session on employment and job fair will be another
excellent

idea. AI team can work with interested employers and organize walk in
panel. You can have successful blind people also on the panel so that any
accessibility issues can be easily dealt. Even if few people get
employment,
then it will be really good. I heard that silverlinings does great work
in

training and motivating disabled people. Perhaps, you can invite the
director of silver linings and ask her to give a talk on how blind people
should mold, motivate, adjust, learn and thrive in the main stream work
environment. Since people from different states come, it will be a great
opportunity to organize job fair. Regards,

I think there can be a topic on how visually challenged should approach
marriage. Laws, circulars, etc. can take care of education, employment,
accessibility,.., but nothing can help when it comes to marriage. Its the
attitude of the visually challenged, ability to instill confidence in the
potential spouz and his/her family, and preferably some platforms that can
bring people together that might solve the problem. So, I think a session
can be dedicated to this issue.

Second, many visually challenged people are struggling to socialise with
the
main stream society due to some reasons. This is happening with some
people

who come from special schools due to their inexperience in mingling with
others as well as with those who become late blind and struggle to accept
their newly acquired disability.
So, the ability to socialise is more important for visually challenged
than

for others as it helps in being independent.

I would have loved to present on the above topic. But I can not come to
Delhi. Will come up with more on this thread.

Re: [AI] Blind Beggars in Bangalore

2013-11-23 Thread Srikanth Bolla
Hi Pranav,
How can we offer higher base salary without potential? You mean, you want
companies to pay higher salaries than the co employees without better
performance? Then most companies will go bankrupt and no blind people will
be entertained. Already, employers have to spend extra money and human
resources to train and accommodate blind people. On top of that, if you ask
for higher salaries, then there will be no meaning for competitive work
environment and everyone will become beggars for higher pay. I don't think
you can change beggar's perception if they are wontedly begging. If they are
begging just because there is no alternative to fulfill hunger, then even
for a lower pay, beggars will leave their profession and start working to
fill their stomach. Of course NGO's can perhaps do this as a charity but not
in a professional setting. Getting job for blind people as it is difficult
and you are asking for higher salaries which are a big joke. Please do talk
sensibly on the public list as there are potential employers like me and so
many others. I pay much higher salaries for disabled in our company but I am
completely disappointed with the consistent poor performance of blind
people. I have regular daily labor without any disability that gets much
lower salary than blind employees who are on our payroll. When I look at
performance, blind people cannot even do 1/third work of a regular sited
employee. I do understand we don't have site but we have physical strength
right? When accessible work is given then what is the problem in completing
it? So do you still want companies to recruit blind people and pay higher
salaries to entertain their lazy trades? I guess people have to either
suffer or realize their strengths and reality. As I mentioned in my earlier
emails, blind people who completed their M-A and PG are not even able to
do accurate counting till 50. Is this not shame on our part to ask for extra
privileges? How can these blind people completing their professional
degrees without knowing basic additions? This goes back to our discussion
on scribes. Unless this situation changes, blind people will continue to
lose the credibility and self-respect. I feel that free government
facilities are making blind people lazy and expecting everything for free.
Other main contributors are our generous donors who donate or sponsor lazy
blind people. I am really sorry for commenting on the public forum but this
is the place to create awareness. I know many of you are working for the
cause of blind people and many of you are operating credible organizations
dedicated for the welfare of the disabled people. So please realize and
don't give anything for free. These kinds of comments which seek extra
privileges will upset potential employers and this is not for our good.
Guys realize and wake up. Society is looking at us and one fine day society
will never entertain blind people in to main streaming. Please note, my
comments are not vague. They are based on real analysis and experience. Of
course, my negative comments will not be applicable for all of you but
people who are lazy and who cannot do anything but just expect everything
for free. Regards,

I suspect we need to offer a higher base salary to attract blind beggers

I also recommend that we do a session on marriage and matrimonial issues.
I see so many wonderful well settled boys and girls who deserve the final
social rehabilitation and a happy life but several factors are preventing
it.

Subject: Re: [AI] Announcing the AI convention dates

I think there can be a topic on how visually challenged should approach
marriage. Laws, circulars, etc. can take care of education, employment,
accessibility,.., but nothing can help when it comes to marriage. Its the
attitude of the visually challenged, ability to instill confidence in the
potential spouz and his/her family, and preferably some platforms that can
bring people together that might solve the problem. So, I think a session
can be dedicated to this issue.

Second, many visually challenged people are struggling to socialise with the
main stream society due to some reasons. This is happening with some people
who come from special schools due to their inexperience in mingling with
others as well as with those who become late blind and struggle to accept
their newly acquired disability.
So, the ability to socialise is more important for visually challenged than
for others as it helps in being independent.

I would have loved to present on the above topic. But I can not come to
Delhi. Will come up with more on this thread.

 Dear Mr. Harish,
Here is my suggestion. This idea can be further refined by discussing
 with

 people experienced in this area.

Topic: Social entrepreneurship in the area of accessibility / social
sensetization / counselling / rehabilitation / improving quality of
 life

 Background:
There may be several individuals, like me, who are more than willing to
work in the social domain or possibly make it as as a key purpose in
 their

lives. I think that it is extremely important to help in enabling this
segment of individuals to take a significant step in overall

Moto G is Impressive Enough to Change India’s Smartphone Landscape
by Rudradeep Biswas on November 21, 2013 1:23 pm | Editorial 14 Comments
Google, once a search engine is now well established software and
hardware maker is going to bring affordable Android smartphone to
developing nations, from its own handset manufacturing unit, Motorola
which was acquired by Google in 2011.
moto-G-India
Motorola shrinked its handset business in India by that time and now
Google-owned Motorola is all set to takeover its market position.
Motorola is going to launch its much-hyped affordable Moto G in India in
coming days. In US Moto G is selling for $179 (8GB) and $199 (16GB).
That is translated into INR 11,000 and INR 12,500 approx. respectively.
Under the hood:
Motorola keeps Moto G simple. It ships with Android 4.3 in Brazil and
Europe but Motorola promised a Kitkat 4.4 update by 2014. As Indian
launch is by January 2014, we hope Moto G might be the first handsets
with KitKat in the country.
It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with quad core 1.2GHz
Cortex A7 processor, Andreno 305 GPU and 1GB RAM. Its 4.5 inch display
with 720 x 1280p has 326 ppi and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
There is no microSD slot (like all Nexus phones) but it comes in 8/16GB
storage capacity.
There are some usual features: 5MP rear camera with LED flash, video
recording at 720p, front 1.3MP shooter, HSPA+ 21Mbps, Bluetooth v4.0,
WiFi, WiFi hotspot, active noise cancellation mic, 3.5 mm audio jack,
GPS via A-GPS & GLONASS, accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor and
Li-Ion 2070 mAh battery. It misses NFC but who is using it in India.
It’s little bulky at 143gm. Google will offer 50GB Drive storage as Cloud.
Color is the in-thing in smartphone arena and Motorola is offerimg
several back panels – blue, teal, red, yellow, purple, white, and black
covers, as well as rugged versions and flip-style portfolio covers for
the Moto G (the company says there are 19 options in total).Design wise
it looks alike earlier launched Motorola’s flagship Moto X.
Many argue that Indian smartphone market is dominated by Samsung and
other Indian brands like Micromax, Karbonn, Lava, Xolo and others; and
thus Motorola’s re-entry will not be a easy route. And there are already
many Android smartphones which are available for Rs 4000 or less. Even
at that price range there are several competitors like Samsung Galaxy
Trend, Micromax Canvas 4, Karbonn Titanium S5, Lenovo A850, Xolo Q1000S,
Lava 504q, Gionee Dream D1 – to name a few.
Then what Moto G stands for? It is a excellent vfm (value for money)
product which ensures impressive hardware and almost stock Android
experience with certainty of future Android upgrades, last thing many
manufacturers care about. Moto G may change the whole ecosystem of
Android devices in the country and reduce the OS fragmentation.
In a whole Moto G is a fantastic handset, which will give a lead for
Android over other OS as well as other Android brands. Last couple of
months Windows phones is doing better in India, thanks to Nokia
branding. Moto G may trigger a new vfm smartphone war and as of now Moto
G wins.
Tips: Using a low budget smartphone and thinking for a winter fest
upgrade at around 12-15K? Wait til January next year as Moto G lands in
India.
Special request to MTS India, the data focused operator, Moto G supports
1x- EvDo too. You already missed Diwali timeline to bring new smartphone
from Micromax. Why don’t you ask for Moto G single SIM variant or Dual
SIM variant with awesome data offerings (existing plans are not cheap
compared to Reliance and Aircel’s 3G tariffs)?

Re: [AI] Announcing the AI convention dates

2013-11-23 Thread Vamshi. G
I think there can be a topic on how visually challenged should
approach marriage. Laws, circulars, etc. can take care of education,
employment, accessibility,.., but nothing can help when it comes to
marriage. Its the attitude of the visually challenged, ability to
instill confidence in the potential spouz and his/her family, and
preferably some platforms that can bring people together that might
solve the problem. So, I think a session can be dedicated to this
issue.

Second, many visually challenged people are struggling to socialise
with the main stream society due to some reasons. This is happening
with some people who come from special schools due to their
inexperience in mingling with others as well as with those who become
late blind and struggle to accept their newly acquired disability.
So, the ability to socialise is more important for visually challenged
than for others as it helps in being independent.

I would have loved to present on the above topic. But I can not come
to Delhi. Will come up with more on this thread.

your ups see if it beeps normally and then turn all the devices on it

However beggers are there or not,
Society is looking at us like that from ages.

hello,
this is indeed ideal cause. but even my experience is very negative on
this work. i know couple of of my own schoolmates who are begging in
the local trains of mumbai. they are well educated even graduates. as
i always in the search of my old friends and would like to find out
about their life, i recently got in touch with few of them, who have
passed their graduation, and due to lack of job opportunities around
ten years back, they got in to this begging forcefully. while in
conversation with them, i tried to offer few job opportunities to them
in which they could earn 6 to 7 k initially which would grow over six
months period to 15 to 20 k per month. but to my surprise, they simply
rejected my offers and informed me that they can now easily earn rs500
per day in begging so why should they take any job which would
decrease their present income? i tried to explain them about their
tallents which will be fairly utilised and chances about promotions.
but they are not willing to compromise with their present job. they
now have the habbit of living lavish life having too many edictions
like chewing tobaccos, ghutkas etc. which has become the part of their
daily food. they say that they are happy doing this and would like to
know technics to earn more out of begging. in their language, if i got
the job, not necessary that we will get it and do not want to waste
the time.

once i tried to invite one of them to my place outside mumbai with the
intention of changing his mind towards work during my stay, but i was
not successful. rather i was surprised to know his demands to pay back
to him his ticket charges, reimbursement of his daily food like
mentioned above in the travel etc. along with his expected income of
begging i.e. rs.500 per day for which he stayed with me.

so hope that something good happends to their life in terms of
rewarding their tallents by getting good jobs.
thanks,
