[AI] BJP candidate promises ramps for disabled at Greater Kailash

2013-11-27 Thread avinash shahi
So now political parties have started talking about the problems face
by disabled at least...
But When one gives a cursory look on Political Parties Menefestos, one
finds very little mention for persons with disabilities. By the way,
AAP has devoted few paragraphs for making roads, and footpaths
accessible... And Congress?
http://www.thestatesman.net/news/26411-bjp-candidate-promises-ramps-for-disabled-at-gk.html
With the Delhi assembly elections drawing closer, candidates have
intensified their campaign. Today BJP candidate from the Greater
Kailash constituency, Ajay Kumar Malhotra, promised ramps for
physically disabled for their better access to markets.
Mr Malhotra said: We need to empower the differently-abled and
provide adequate infrastructure which is friendly towards them. This
will help integrate them into the society. Mr Malhotra also
highlighted the need for good governance in the country. Good
governance means securing justice, empowerment, employment and
efficient delivery of services. I feel there should be zero tolerance
for corruption and there be timely release and effective utilization
of allocated funds. We should empower the local bodies and RWAs to
function as vibrant democratic units and involve citizens in decision
making and implementing the scheme so as to ensure equal
participation, he said during the campaign.
Former Delhi mayor and BJP candidate from the Malviya Nagar
constituency, Arti Mehra was also busy in her political campaign. She
slammed her opponent Kiran Walia for ignoring the voice of the people
of the constituency.
During her padyatra, Ms Mehra emphasized on the need that a leader
must respect the sentiments of the people. It is the duty of the
leader to hear to the demands of the people. A leader must address the
people's need and make their lives comfortable and peaceful, she
said. She claimed that during her tenure as mayor, she used to visit
the colonies and addressed people's problem. She rubbished the Delhi
government's claim that the city has developed a lot in last 15 years.
Merely having Metro and flyover is not a real development. People
still continue to face various problems. They need to be addressed,
Ms Mehra said.

[AI] Samsung Galaxy S5 release date, news and rumours: all eyes on the S5

2013-11-27 Thread Ravindra Jadhav
Samsung's next generation flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S5, is
the most hotly-anticipated mobile launch since the Nexus 5.

Its release (rumoured to be in January 2014) also means that - for
what we think is the first time ever - the world's top mobile phones
will all have a 5 in the title. We for one welcome the age of the
Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy S5 and iPhone 5S.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, we've rounded-up all the rumours
about the device's specs, price and features - including a possible
eye scanner and a CRAZILY high-res screen. Plus there's some talk
about the phone cramming in a whopping 4GB of RAM - although we'd take
that one with a pinch of salt. Enjoy!

the episode has actually been uploaded on youtube. tube.majestyc.net
is simply an accessible interface to youtube, and not a separate
website altogether.

All the same, George Sir why isn't the episode uploaded on YouTube

Assistive technologies are not permisible in ICAI examinations and a

Co-ordination with the scribe is a must for solving the numerical

[AI] Problem in surrendering the LIC policy.

2013-11-27 Thread nitesh gupta
Dear Friends.

Hope you all are doing well.
One of my blind friend is facing a problem, which I am putting before
you for your suggestion.

He has an account in bank, using thumb impression he is operating the account.
As such he is using thumb impression, cheque book is not provided to him.
The same fellow has to surrender a policy of LIC.

Now!
LIC needs a canceled cheque book for doing NEFT in his account.
Branch can not give cheque book. He can not open an account with
signature because it may surely create problem in withdrawal of cash.

Waiting for your suggestion, how to surrender the policy?

Subject: [AI] Where is my right to vote?

Dear Friends,

We are all aware that politics plays major role in our country to
highlight

or solve the issues of vulnerable communities, but in my knowledge, I did
not hear from any political party those who are talking about the issues
of

people with disabilities because they don't feel that disability community
should be vote bank for them, perhaps they don't know about our strength
in

the society. I feel that this is another reason of our exclusion because
till now disability is not an issue for GOVT.
But my concern is that is there any political party who wants inclusion of
people with disabilities to empower them to understand the importance of
their one vote?
Yesterday, I went to the poling booth to use my voting right to my
favorite

leader, but when I reached and asked them to give me escort but they said
that we don't know about escort, however I managed and gave my slip to
officer and reached to voting machine, but there was no Braille sticker so
I
faced difficulty to identify the button but I asked my relative and gave
my

vote, after voting, I asked concern person that you are not following
instructions of supreme court then he said thatnobody gave us any kind of
instruction. After this incident, I called media and highlighted this
issues, and I will definetly file complaint to state election commission
because they did not follow the supreme court order in 10 districts of
Madhya Pradesh.
Friends, It is a very serious issue if I will not come out from my house
to

use my vote then nobody will talk about your issues, therefore disability
community is facing this problem. Now we should wake up and we should use
our vote to show our strength to the political parties otherwise nobody
will

talk about our issues.

Thank you
