Re: [AI] tikona wireless broadband review needed

2015-04-09 Thread Zujar Shabbir Kanchwala
Hi,

1. Yes! I use an iBall Baton wi-fi router that has an antenna and 5 LAN
ports out of which I'm utilizing only one. All 8 mobile phones in my house
and my laptop connect wirelessly to the Internet via this router. It's
protected using a WPA2 secret key so even if it is visible to my neighbours
they cannot get connected.

2. I do not know of any method of bypassing the login process for using
Tikona broadband service. Maybe there's some way, haven't researched on it.
Note that once logged in, all devices connecting to the wi-fi router are
able to share the Internet connection.

Best Regards,
Zujar.

so here are my questions for you.
1: do you use wifi router with this connection?
2: if yes, could you specify the brand and model of that modem?
and the last question is does tikona has the option for bypass login while
using wifi? router with the connection, as i am aware that one has to login
from the pc/phone in-order to brows the internet.
with thanks and regards gufran.

Is there any such notification or circular from the railway? Does it

I indeed am using a wifi router. Its of TP Link. You can set a
password for the wifi connection and then configure it on the device
so that it would connect automatically, but to get internet access,
you have to then go to the login page on the phone/computer and then
input the details. If you login from a device, you can have 4 devices
connected on wifi, and without loging in on each one, you can have
internet access. More details can be obtained from the Tikona
customercare.

Well, I have been using Tikona for more than a year now.
My experience with them has been a mixed one. I used an MTNL
connection earlier, the service was godawful... MTNL's 512 KBPS
unlimited plan is slightly cheaper than that of Tikona who's plans
starts with 1 MBPS, but the Tikona 1 MBPS unlimited plan is cheaper
than that of MTNL. So in terms of money, its pretty much good. As for
the service, they give a demo test before giving the connection, and
when the connection works, the speed is consistently good. But I've
had a couple of instances wherein I had major issues with the
connection. Ones It went off for more than 2 weeks, ones for 10 days.
The call centre is there is 24-7, but their responses are on trained
lines, sounding like an automaton... But to be fair, they did
provide me with a refund for the period the connection didn't work,
adjusting it with the next bill. Considering all aspects, I think its
not a bad option to consider. I would also suggest you check out
Spectra net as well as Reliance wired broadband. With Reliance, the
wired broadband at least in Delhi, has some really attractive packages
at pretty good rates unlike the wireless one, and Spectra too has some
good plans though their coverage is not as wide as that of Tikona.

certificate which is recent one. The man at ticket counter asked my
friend to obtain ID card from railway commercial office and also tol
that these certificate are no more valid after the introduction of

Re: [AI] Are railway concession certificates invalid after introduction of E card?

2015-04-09 Thread Anil Kumar
Dear Friend,

Both Concession certificate and ID card for booking railway ticket are
different. With concession certificate (new format), you can book
ticket from the ticket counters at railway stations. With ID card you
can book ticket both from counter and through IRCTC.

Hi,

Yes!
It's cheaper than other broadband services but you may also check
MTNL/BSNL,
believe they may be cheaper. Good connectivity though a couple of
instances

of sluggish/no connectivity. Good service except once when the connection
was down and I had to escalate the matter to the appellate authority to
get

the connection restored.

Hi, I am using Tikona broad band from 1.5 years. Last years I was facing
many issues in their consistency. After warning them to withdraw
connection,
they have given me consistent connectivity from past then 3 months. Other
then this issue, they speed and service is good. The only thing was I had
to
give them warning 3 times in past
1.5 years, but they have tried their level best to retain me by even
giving

me 30% discount in my bill from november to feb. So over all with ups and
downs, currently I am happy with their services.

hello listers, i am planning to go for tikona broadband, actually its

broadband works on 4g and mimo technology. for more details about
tikona and the concept. one can visit at www.tikona.in so friends i
would like to know that if any one uses the tikona broadband services,
then please throw some light about its services such as ISP speed, its

[AI] Are railway concession certificates invalid after introduction of E card?

2015-04-09 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafay
Hi all, one of my friends is facing difficulty in booking the railway
ticket with the help of his railway concession certificate. He made
this concession certificate last month as per the revised performa.
But my friend has been advised to make a new ID card from commercial
office of railway, and also told that these certificates are no longer
valid.
Is there any such notification or circular from the railway? Does it
necessary to make this new card in order to avail concession on
booking the railway ticket? --
