[AI] Noble cause: 35 blind people from Bengaluru get darshan at Tirumala

2017-06-11 Thread avinash shahi
A salveraj reports;: CHENNAI: It can't get nobler than this. Thirty-five
visually challenged
people from Bengaluru had a 'darshan' of
Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala
on Saturday, a volunteer helping each of them climb the hills by
foot...The trip was organised by Chennai resident Satish Palani, a
26-year-old who has
been working as a scribe for visually challenged students...The team
members arrived at Tirupati by train from Bengaluru on Friday evening
and took a small
nap before beginning the climb to Tirumala. "Three of them struggled
to walk the steps, so we provided them vehicle assistance. We reached
the temple early
on Saturday.," said Satish. He conveyed special thanks, on behalf of
the team members, to officials of
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams
(TTD), which manages the popular temple in Chittoor district of
Andhra Pradesh, for helping make the trip successful. During the climb
as well as in the
sanctum sanctorum, each volunteer explained in detail the things
around them to help them get a feel, Satish said.
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/bengaluru/35-blind-people-from-bengaluru-get-darshan-at-tirumala/articleshow/59091064.cms
leisure. Tears rolled down the cheeks of many of them who described
the experience as 'divya darshan', he said...Explaining how the trip
came about, Satish
said: "During one of my visits to an old age home in Whitefield,
Bengaluru to repair chairs and tables, apart from assisting them, a
couple of my visually
challenged friends conveyed their grievance. They said they wished to
visit Tirupati for 'divya darshan'. I thought of it and decided to
make plans to
take them to the temple town." ..But, when he conveyed the idea, they
appeared to be sceptical, he said. "Then I revealed my plan of every
member of the team being assisted by a volunteer
throughout the trip. This appealed to them and they agreed. When I
approached my friends, they too readily accepted. A few of them,
however, continued
to doubt if the tour would happen," said Satish, who had worked as a
counsellor at a firm in Bengaluru. "Now, we have achieved it," he
said...The team,
which includes 18 women, is set to visit Talakona waterfalls in
Sri Venkateshwara National Park
near Chittoor before returning to Bengaluru by train on Sunday
evening, Satish said. One of the team members, 24-year-old Srinath,
works for software
firm Cisco in Bengaluru, he said..

2017-06-11 Thread Vamshi. G
This is a wonderful service offered in the crowded pilgrim centre like
Tirumala. At a temple visited by more than fifty thousand people
every day, stopping the regular queue lines twice a day for the sake
of senior citizens and disabled is a wonderful gesture. If someone
wants to know anything specific or any other information, you can call
on Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)helpline at 0877 227.

[AI] helping hands portal for scribes by Syneza Online Services

2017-06-11 Thread pavan kumar lingam
dear Accessindians
 warm greetings.
please go through the below peace and ask our friends and to get
registered in the portal.
you can also encourage your sighted friends to get registered in the
portal who are willing to help as scribes.
kindly go through the portal and drop me your feedback on my emailID
l.pavan@gmail.com
here gos the peace.
It has been a year since we, at Syneza Technology have started
operations catering to the needs of our clients in a way that has
satisfied them. We are a bunch of like-minded, tech savvy
professionals, who think technology can be leveraged to such an extent
that it can address the concerns the world is facing now. We have been
associated with “MR coupon” for a project and we have developed three
more projects on our own which are cost effective.
Upon completion of one successful year we have come up with an
initiative to help the needy. We found that finding a scribe for a
visually challenged to write the exams is an uptight.
So, we have developed and kept open a portal
“helpinghands.synezatechnologies.com” where all Visually challenged
candidates who are in need of Scribe can register to find a scribe. On
the other hand volunteers who are willing to offer their services as
scribes can register as volunteers.
The Syneza management will get in touch with both the parties (the
candidate and the scribe) for needful action.
We are happy to bring to your notice that the portal also provides
facility to search based on location hence candidates can search
scribes near the location in which they reside.
thanks and regards,

This is a wonderful service offered in the crowded pilgrim centre like
Tirumala. At a temple visited by more than fifty thousand people every
day, stopping the regular queue lines twice a day for the sake of senior
citizens and disabled is a wonderful gesture. If someone wants to know
anything specific or any other information, you can call on Tirumala
Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)helpline at 0877 227.
