I worked as in charge of Stenography section in Mumbai for 24 years.
Many times our trainees appeared for typing and shorthand tests.
I cannot say about Airport but generally the typing passage is
dictated at the expected speed and candidates are expected to type at
that speed. Generally words are not repeated. Sometimes even screen
readers are also not allowed.
Very rarely passage is given in braille but this adversely affects
speed. As such the most common method is dictation on computer.
