[AI] AI Issues with NVDA

2018-03-17 Thread turab chimthanawala
Hi all,
I am using NVDA on my Windows 10 laptop with the eloquence vocaliser
separately purchased from Saksham. Since, the past couple of months,
NVDA does not speak all characters and key strokes. For instance, it
sometimes does not speak out Ctrl + C for copy. Also, despite ticking
the requisite field it does not automatically start on turning on the
laptop. While these may be minor issues, of late it sometimes does not
read out the list of files in downloads, documents etc. This has
become greatly problematic. Uninstalling and reinstalling NVDA has
yielded no consequence.
Eagerly await a prompt revert.
Thanks in anticipation`Best
Turab

Re: [AI] from the HimalayanTimes Archive 2016 Uruguay's blind 'bird man'can identify 3, 000 bird sounds

2018-03-17 Thread Vamshi. G
When I started reading the article, I thought it is another steriotype
presentation of blind having the gift of hearing. But towards the
end, realised its a rare gift. But wonder whether there are any
sighted persons having this gift. Is there any difference in the
abilities of blind and sighted amongst those having this gift?

Dear Mukesh,

I am also interested. Is this trip inclusive for blind? Have you
enquired? Or the mere fact that Bat travels has posted on Access
India means that it is inclusive? I will call them.
In recent times, Bat travels and Planet Abled have done a wonderful
job of arranging inclusive tours for disabled.
