[AI] Urgent about official website
Hi Till yesterday I was able to login to my official portal but today the concerned team has introduced new interface. I am unable to use anything on the new one. I have tried with latest NVDA and both Jaws 14 (office one) and I tried from my personal laptop having Jaws 18. Issue is that once I logged in, all I hear is "graphics new clickable), etc. I tried to activate blindly whatever that I heard like clickable by enter key and space key but it was not activated. Can anyone advise me how to tell them my issue and to explain to them about it. But I can't go meet them personally since they are in Mumbai while I am working from home in bangalore. All I can do is to either call or send them an email. So I need to be clear in telling them my issue and to advise them in whatever way I can to make website accessible for me. Please help its very urgent. -- Thanks, Cornelius Lyngdoh. Re: [AI] Silencing whatsapp
Hi, Just realised that this feature is specific to some devices and Moto and Samsung J Series doesn't seem to have this. You can download an app called Gaming Mode from PlayStore and do the needful. Although I haven't tested the accessibility of the app but I think it should be usable. Re: [AI] Voting experience yesterday
I had the opportunity to cast my vote on the 11th at NOIDA. My wife and I reached the polling booth at about 0730hrs. There were long queues. I mentioned to one of the police officers that I was visually impaired. He directly sent me to the polling booth in-charge. When he learnt that I was blind and did not know braille. He was ok for my wife to assist me with the voting. It was a smooth operation. In fact my voting experience in 2014 too was smooth. Re: [AI] Regarding captcha solving
hello, though this extension works on some sites on which Captcha 2.0 is followed, but it still doesn't work on some sites. for instance, if any applicant wishes to login to their respective RRBs to edit/modify their forms, they need to solve the captcha given on the login page. this extension of chrome does not solve this captcha. it remains silent after going to the captcha field. by pressing the keystroke ctrl+shift+6 the message is displayed by the website ctrl key is disabled. filling up the form and modifying the application is still remains the unsolved challenge for the visually impaired to do this work independently. so many captchas even while filling up the application. after completely filling up all the details in each stage of application, we have to solve the captcha! so powerful and tight security! never seen so many captchas while filling up the details in any recruitment forms! hope solution comes for such kind of difficulties. thanks, On 4/16/19, shanka...@tech-accessibility.in wrote: > The solution will be in the captcha edit ctrl. > > -Original Message- > From: AccessIndia On Behalf Of > bhawani shankar verma > Sent: Tuesday, April 16, 2019 12:53 PM > To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning > the disabled. > Subject: Re: [AI] Regarding captcha solving > > same here, I pressed ctrl+shift+6, it announce that captcha solved but > where > is the solution. > > > -Original Message- > From: Vedprakash Sharma > Sent: Monday, April 15, 2019 12:53 PM > To: 'AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning > > the disabled.' > Subject: Re: [AI] Regarding captcha solving > > I installed the add on.
