How about including accessibility as a subject in any one of the
semester in faculty such as Engineering of all kind. Just as there is
a subject called Business ethics in Management studies. This will help
in a long way ahead

2019-11-08 Thread Viraj Kafle
While all of us in our capacity must strive towards sensitising
institutions/organisations to ensure digital accessibility, greater
responsibility lies on advocacy groups and NGOs working in the disability
sector. What we require is the once-and-for-all implementation of accessibility
standards for all service providers to follow. Relevant provisions of the
disability legislations need to be evoked to ensure no exceptions or diviations
from the standards.

[AI] Resolving online accessibility related issues at higher level.

2019-11-08 Thread Abhay Kanwar
Hello Access Indians
I am writing this mail to put forth my view that, rather than running
bank after bank or organisation after organisation for online
accessibility related problems, it would be prudent on our part if we
can file a PIL in the court of law and simultaneously take up the
issue at the ministry of social justice, ministry of information and
broadcasting and finance ministry.
Not only running after various organisations and banks takes toll over
our capacities and becomes exhaustive process, but also it would be
difficult to track down various organisations and sensitize them when
we doesn’t have substantial numbers.
The idea behind this exercise is not to personally take dig at
somebody, however the whole idea is to resolve the issue related to
online accessibility amicably for ones and for all.
Regarding captcha, my personal opinion is also that audio captcha is
not much reliable as there are various factors required to make it
accessible, rather than that it would be good if we all can lobby for
OTP based sign in from the ® phone numbers.
With best wishes

Re: [AI] Speaker problem in read me note 8

2019-11-08 Thread Sunil Sangtani.
hi sir,
this feature probably is for talkback users, so that they can use
screen easily during the calls such as responding to IVR, joining
people to conference etc.
this never happened when talkback is off. So, we can assume that this
is copied from IOS by xyomi.
What you can do, find the proximity sensor by asking someone, or
finding a sign such a hole etc., and just keep your finger on the
place where the sensor is located when you are taking your phone away
from your ear.
This is the only solution as far as I know or you can look in call
settings under the phone app if you find something related to it.
Since I don’t have mi phone with miui, can’t say much.

Re: [AI] Help Requested: Oneplus 5T

2019-11-08 Thread Sunil Sangtani.
hi rahul.
I found this app.
this is the google's phone patched apk.
that you can use, after installing it, just make this app default app
for phone under app settings.
go to this page, and from there is a google drive link,
I think that the last one app in the folder should work with your phone.
after installing this app, dialing and answering call experience will
be change for the good:
