Re: [AI] Regarding my petition about making Zomato accessible with screen readers with talkback

2020-02-21 Thread Sanchit Katiyar
Hi,

With due respect to your efforts of asking/pushing Zomato to make
their app more accessible with screen readers, I would like to state
that I find the Android app of Zomato highly accessible on most of the
counts excluding the option of rating the food and delivery boy. I am
curious to know the specific issues that you are facing while using
the app because there might be some issue with your system software. I
am using Nokia 7.2 with Android 9.0.

I am just curious to know the issues (because I am perfectly able to
use the app) that is why I am replying. Please do not take it
otherwise. I commend your efforts to make things more accessible and
easy-to-use.

There are two immediate sollutions:
1. Ask your sister to use alternative browser like Chrome or Edge so
that you don't have to sign out each time.
2. While clicking on your name/user id, turn your virtual cursor off
so that you get the password field.

Re: [AI] Two blind HSC students find writers at 11th hour

2020-02-21 Thread Shireen Irani
This is a very serious problem and we hear of such cases every single
year. It'd be great if colleges take up starting a writer's forum and
officially helped at least class 12 students to find writers. They
could make it part of courses like Value Education where students are
graded for participating in social causes. Its not that students are
unwilling, they may just be nervous. Hence this coming from their
professors may give them the confidence to volunteer.
A letter going out to all colleges from XRCVC and similar
organisations would go a long way towards this endeavour.

[AI] A silly query regarding Gmail sign in

2020-02-21 Thread shadabhsn
Hello Access Indians!

Shadab here:)

Though I repeatedly tell her not to do it, my sister grabs my laptop and
signs in by her Gmail id. When I want to sign in by my own personal email
id, it asks me to choose an account. But even after clicking on my email
id/name for 100 times, it doesn't ask me to enter my password and I fail to
sign in.

And the nasty thing?

I need to sign in my Gmail account 10 times a day because besides addicted
to emails, my dinky blog is also there.

Any solutions? Using Jaws 19 Windows 10 IE browser.

Your help would be helpful etc.

Hey,
While browsing the webinar archive for JAWS, I came across a couple of
webinars regarding use of JAWS with G-suite (Google equivalent of MS Office).
These webinars usually start from Google Drive and provide small tutorials on
Google drive.

May like to review the following two webinars:
1. Google Sheets and
JAWS

2. Google Docs and

Hope you find above useful.
