Please note I wasn't talking about the ePaper from the Hindu, that's
altogether is a different service. I was talking about reading
articles on their web pages. If you subscribe to their service I'm
talking, there in you can also read the exact copy of the print
edition by selecting the link today's paper. I bought this
subscription in about Rs711 after applying all discounts. I have no
idea about the ePaper subscription.

Hello,

What about the companies? My Dell Vostro 1027 laptop is running for ten
years. Of course, I had to change the hard drive once. It fell twice from
the table and the hinges were broken and the monitor got disconnected. I
was able to get it repaired by a local fellow. It have 500 gb hdd, 2 gb
ram and windows 7 32 bit. O yes, the cd rom is gone and two keys from the
keyboard. Still the laptop is working all right. I changed battery twice.

On the other hand, I am tired of my lenovo laptop with 4 gb ram and 1 tb
hdd and windows 10 64 bit. The keys get stuck frequently and the system is
rather slow. I am using it for just more than two years. I use jaws, Sound
forge, gold wave etc on both.

Dell is costlier than others. Still I would prefer Dell. Please mention
the companies or models you are using.

Re: [AI] windows 10 laptop

2020-04-28 Thread bhawani shankar verma
you can choose 32 bit, but later most of the softwares and hardwares will
end support for 32 bit systems. continue with 64 bit. now most of laptops
are coming with preinstalled OEM windows with DDE partition. I think that
will find difficult 32 bit hardware now these days.

Dear friends,

which should be choose 32 bit or 64 bit. Someone has suggested me
don't take original window because some accessibility tools may effect
in it and we can tired. Jaws for 64 bit crashes frequently in 64 bit
is it true?

Hello,

What about the companies? My Dell Vostro 1027 laptop is running for ten
years. Of course, I had to change the hard drive once. It fell twice from
the table and the hinges were broken and the monitor got disconnected. I
was

able to get it repaired by a local fellow. It have 500 gb hdd, 2 gb ram
and

windows 7 32 bit. O yes, the cd rom is gone and two keys from the
keyboard.

Still the laptop is working all right. I changed battery twice.

On the other hand, I am tired of my lenovo laptop with 4 gb ram and 1 tb
hdd

and windows 10 64 bit. The keys get stuck frequently and the system is
rather slow. I am using it for just more than two years. I use jaws,
Sound

forge, gold wave etc on both.

Dell is costlier than others. Still I would prefer Dell. Please mention
the

companies or models you are using.

With best regards,
Amiyo Biswas

Vikas, how do you read the hindu? One other way to get thehindu and
indian express is caliber software, but I believe, it doesn't give
full paper as lots of news items are missing from caliber version.

Re: [AI] Any accessible way to use whatsapp on my windows laptop?

2020-04-28 Thread Vikas Kapoor
The problem is that it has got lots of unlabeled buttons, and it is
very hard to use them through hit and try method. Further, ever since
it got updated few days back, it has completely become inaccessible
once you minimise its window and bring it up again.

2020-04-28 Thread Vikas Kapoor
However, to avoid a lot of advertisements on their webpages,
subscription is worth buying. I've no idea that the immersive reading
feature that I'm getting on their site these days is available only to
the paid readers? If it is available to the free users as well, then
without subscription is good to go.

Re: [AI] windows 10 laptop

2020-04-28 Thread Amiyo Biswas

Hello,

What about the companies? My Dell Vostro 1027 laptop is running for ten
years. Of course, I had to change the hard drive once. It fell twice from
the table and the hinges were broken and the monitor got disconnected. I was
able to get it repaired by a local fellow. It have 500 gb hdd, 2 gb ram and
windows 7 32 bit. O yes, the cd rom is gone and two keys from the keyboard.
Still the laptop is working all right. I changed battery twice.

On the other hand, I am tired of my lenovo laptop with 4 gb ram and 1 tb hdd
and windows 10 64 bit. The keys get stuck frequently and the system is
rather slow. I am using it for just more than two years. I use jaws, Sound
forge, gold wave etc on both.

Dell is costlier than others. Still I would prefer Dell. Please mention the
companies or models you are using.

With best regards,
Amiyo Biswas

Prashant sir, I have two queries from you.

1. You will be conducted 3 short certification courses from 1st May onwards,
what's the timing of their classes?

2. You also had conducted six short term technical trainings for visually
impaired, would you also upload those recordings? Because I have missed
those classes due to very less knowledge of zoom app. Regards, aman.

Re: [AI] Recordings of NAB Delhi online classes & webinars on Sugamya Pustakalaya

2020-04-28 Thread Aman Preet Singh
Prashant sir, I have two queries from you.

1. You will be conducted 3 short certification courses from 1st May
onwards, what's the timing of their classes?

2. You also had conducted six short term technical trainings for visually
impaired, would you also upload those recordings? Because I have missed
those classes due to very less knowledge of zoom app. Regards, aman.

Subject: Re: [AI] windows 10 laptop

Hi Mohit,

As per your usage, the best configuration that you can get is:

1. RAM: 8 GB or above. Higher the RAM lesser will be the lag while using
multiple programs at once.
2. SSD: 500 GB or above (As much of the memory is used by the Windows also
you need more space for installing and keeping stuff on your system)
3. Processor: Core i5 is sufficient enough and the latest one is 10th
Generation.

Make sure that the computer that you'll purchase can accommodate more RAM
if required, this will keep you going for a longer time.

Hope this helps

2020-04-28 Thread bhawani shankar verma
I am using windows 10 with 1000gb hhd and 4gb ram with i3 4core processor
and working fine. no need to pay 1 extra if you don't use graphics,
designing or gaming programmes. You can use your pen drive for additional
ram if needed.
