Re: [AI] Request for Information About Accessible Flight Booking Site

2021-09-13 Thread vivek doddamani
There is concession in Air India for Disabled persons but on full fair
that is about Rs.14000/ from Delhi to Bangalore, will be about
Rs.7000/ but many Airlines including Air India offer ticket very low
price from Rs.3000 to Rs.6000/ from Bangalore to Delhi. I had booked
on Air India from Delhi to Bangalore at Rs.11600/ for 4 passangers and
return for Rs.11900 much lower than actual full charge per person.

online exhibitions by The Museum of Art and Photography

Hi

Many of you must already know about the wonderful accessible online exhibitions
being curated bye this museum in Bangalore. It was something I have been hoping
would happen in our country, especially at this scale. I have been a regular,
and frequent visitor to not just their exhibitions, but also many other events
that they have been organising. Everything is so wonderfully accessible, and
enjoyable.

I wrote this piece about their exhibition of art and food – "stories on a
banana leaf". I have spent many hours going through everything, since this is
really my subject of choice, and work as well. I hope it will spark interest in
others, who might want to take a look at this as well.

Kunal Mehta, the inclusion manager, has done some wonderful work here.

Re: [AI] regarding smart vision glass

2021-09-13 Thread Vetrivel Murugan Adhimoolam
In my view, envision glass is the one to try out at the moment and I
am not sure about their next demo. From what I am hearing, If you have
used envision in your phone, then the envision glass is nothing but
having that app in your eye glass.

[AI] Strange problem of slow and sluggish JAWS 2021 on Microsoft Surface Go laptop.

2021-09-13 Thread Alefiya Tundawala
Dear All,
I am facing a strange problem with JAWS For Windows 2021 on my new
Surface Go laptop. Although the laptop is running very smoothly, JAWS
gives me a slow and sluggish response when switching from one
file/application to another using the alt tab or control F6 keys. I
get a lag of at least five seconds before it starts reading again.
My brother who also has a visual disability is facing the same problem
on his Surface Go laptop as well. Both laptops were bought together
last month.
The problem is an erratic one. Sometimes the laptop is blazing fast
when connected to the charger. Even without the charger, sometimes it
suddenly works fine but after a few minutes it is back to the same
problem.
We have been in touch with Microsoft and Freedom Scientific, but they
have not been able to resolve the issue.
Can anyone please help?
Thanks,
Alefiya.

Hello Manasi, first of all make sure that screen reader accessibility is
turn on in Google sheet. Go to Google sheet and open a sheet. In the Tools
menu, select Accessibility settings. Select Turn on screen reader support.
Now problem should be solved.
