[AI] Regarding providing doorstep banking facility for the VI

Dear Friends,

Is there any circular issued by RBI directing banks to provide
doorstep banking service to the blind/senior citizen customers?

I have accounts with Yes Bank and ICICI Bank. Both the banks, on their
website mention  they provide doorstep banking to senior citizens and
differently abled customers but when I tried to avail the facility,
both the banks denied such service.

ICICI  Bank refused to provide the service on the ground of risk
involved in collecting/delivering cash.

Yes Bank customer service executives do not even know what is doorstep
banking. Even my relationship manager at yes Bank does not know about
any such facility.

Pls send me circular, if any so that I can take up the issue with the
senior managers.

Hi,
I do not have any circular some time back during lock down period RBI
had instructed all banks to provide doorstep banking services to PWD
and Senior citizens for better reach. There are some bed ridden Senior
Citizens rely on pension it is difficult for them to visit bank
branch. if yes bank and ICICI banks are not following this rule then
you should escalate this to relevantt bank ombardments and try
reaching out to their heads through email/twitter/linkedin.

to download invoise through SMS and email after visiting the given URL
 i'm not able to find my bill. I have logged in using my registered
number with 6 digit OTP. is it mandatory to visit MyJio app to get
bill? MyJio app is
 inaccessible with talkback. Please share your experience.

Hi,
As per Para 2, clause g of of RBI's master circular on "Banking
services to senior citizens and differently abled" dated November 9,
2017 doorstep banking has to be provided to senior citizens above 70
years of age and to differently abled including visually challenged.

Login with your registered mobile number and OTP.
Go to the download invoice section and there you should be able to
find last 6 months invoices.
Note: Invoices older than 6 months can't be obtained through any means.
