I suggest uninstalling the current version you have and installing the
latest one from the Microsoft Store. The updated version is a
universal app with a new user interface, making it completely

Hello,
I have a small suggestion, you are doing good work.
Only, I recommend  targeting those apps or websites more who have an
extremely poor and unresponsive accessibility support.
Be My Eyes does have a proper mail address, where you can submit your
feedback.
Another request to you, please write posts for Instagram.
There stickers and GIFs are not at all accessible, there is also a new bug
which I have noticed that, you cannot view stories by simply double
tapping. The app many times doesn't respond to double taps for stories and
there should be an option to add alt text for stories like for posts as
well.
They are highly ignorant, I have also registered a complaint against them
on Sugamya Bharat app.
Similar is the case with Whatsapp, their accessibility support is pathetic.

Xavier’s Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC), St. Xavier’s
College, as completed its 20 years of services on 17th September, 2023. On
reaching this important milestone, we have organized a series of 20 Tech
Roshni sessions on different topics for persons with disabilities.

We are happy to announce our 9th online workshop on the theme “Designing
Accessible Document with Screen Reader” for persons with blindness and low
vision on 16th December, 2023. This Workshop is supported by the Dhun
Pestonji Parakh Discretionary Trust.

Most users, including those who are visually impaired, use word processors
like Microsoft Word to create reports, books, assignments, etc., in their
day-to-day lives and then convert them to other formats such as PDF.
However, users mention that the Word document content is accessible for
screen readers, and the accessibility standard practices are often
neglected to make it more accessible. To set expectations from others to
create accessible Word document, let's try to develop an accessible
document by ourself.

In the workshop, we will explore and learn how to make the Word document
content accessible with a screen reader with applying accessibility
principles keeping it in mind.

Eligibility: Participants should have good knowledge of screen reader and
touch typing.

*Course Title: Basic Computer Training for the Visually Challenged*

*Eligibility Criteria:*

   - Good knowledge of English.
   - Candidate should have either a Desktop or Laptop during the training
   period (Operating System Windows 10 with at least MS office pack 2010).
   - Should have a strong internet connection (capable of handling Video &
   Audio simultaneously).

computer independently for daily living and educational functions (as
required).

*Evaluation*: Participants will be evaluated based on attendance,
performance, regular reviews, a final test conducted at the end of the
training and follow up meetings after the course.

St. Xavier’s College XRCVC -Viviana extension is willing to announce a
fresh online batch of “CERTIFICATION PROGRAMMED FOR THE VISUALLY CHALLENGED
persons”.

*Course Title: Basic Computer Training for the Visually Challenged*

*Eligibility Criteria:*

   - Good knowledge of English.
   - Candidate should have either a Desktop or Laptop during the training
   period (Operating System Windows 10 with at least MS office pack 2010).
   - Should have a strong internet connection (capable of handling Video &
   Audio simultaneously).

*At the end of this course the participants would be able to:* Use a
computer independently for daily living and educational functions (as
required).

*Evaluation*: Participants will be evaluated based on attendance,
performance, regular reviews, a final test conducted at the end of the
training and follow up meetings after the course.

*Certification Offered:* You will receive a certificate at the end of the
course after a basic test, subject to satisfactory attendance during course
and follow up meetings, good conduct and conscientious work.

Dear friends,
When I signed up for my ICICI NRI bank account, the official here in Vrindavan 
branch refused to allow me to sign, she insisted my wife will sign on my behalf 
for the account opening documents.
Now that I have Aadhaar card, I am entitled to a local bank account. I will be 
going to the same branch to convert my account from NRI to local bank account. 
However in doing so, I would like to sign my own bank account opening documents 
for the local account using my thumb impression. From past experience I know 
she will not allow me to do so, unless she is educated about rights of people 
with disabilities in terms of banking legislation.
I have the name and phone number of the banking official, as well as the name 
of the branch manager. Is there someone on this list preferably with some 
banking authority, who could speak to her prior to my visit? She knows English 
but I believe not too well. Please contact me if someone here can help. I 
hesitate to send the banking official's contact info on this public list.

Hi Rohit its totaly depends on medicalauthirity. Have you uploaded your old
disability certificate their while applying?  If there is no medical
examination required then they should approve otherwise you have to visit
their for medical test if they ask. Lets wait for some time then visit your
wellfare office.
