[AI] Experience an NVDA Digital Learning Platform

2024-03-03 Thread Aviral Goel
Dear AccessIndia Readers,

I am Aviral from Perception.ai. We are a young startup using AI to make
complex user manuals more accessible with NVDA commands for the visually
impaired community.

I am writing to invite visually impaired community members to experience
our digital learning platform and provide their valuable feedback. This
platform aims to teach the VI learners NVDA commands to access web-based
tools like Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GMail etc. The content for
this platform was created in partnership with Enable India and is
well-validated through several iterations. However, still, it is your
feedback that will make it robust for other learners.

In addition to this test, we have created an AI Chatbot to address all your
queries regarding the web softwares like Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams
and GMail.

If interested, please fill out this short form to access the platform and
chatbot. Onboarding Form (google.com)

Best Regards,

[AI] Inquiry about SSC Phase 12 Exam 2024 - Post eligibility for graduates

2024-03-03 Thread Omkar Pawaskar
Dear All,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Omkar Pawaskar, and I am
writing to seek your help regarding the SSC Phase 12 Exam 2024.

I am interested in applying for this exam, which offers 2,049 vacancies
across 489 posts. As I understand, the exam is open to candidates with
10th, 12th, and graduate qualifications.

While reading the exam notification, I encountered some confusion regarding
specific post eligibility. I am particularly interested in posts requiring
graduation as the minimum educational qualification and would like to avoid
applying for those with 10th or 12th-level requirements.

Therefore, I kindly request your assistance in identifying posts within the
SSC Phase 12 Exam that are exclusively open to graduates. Any information
or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Omkar Pawaskar.

[AI] Query relating to Zoom

2024-03-03 Thread deepakarora_07 via AccessIndia
Hello All,

Hope you all are doing well!

I have a couple of queries relating to Zoom with NVDA. If I am host or
co-host in a zoom meeting then how can I create a breakout room and move
other participants to those breakout rooms.

Secondly, if I want to take attendance for all the participants, what are
the steps for that.

Also, is there a way if I'm sharing my screen with sound shared but my
NVDA's sound should not be heard as I want to share sound of only for the
video which am playing on my screen and can navigate on windows freely.

Please suggest.

Thanks & Regards,

Deepak

[AI] Appreciation post for Access India

2024-03-03 Thread turab chimthanawala
Hi all,

I recently wrote this on social media about our amazing mailing list. Thank you
for all the support you all have given me in my professional and personal
journey.

THE WORLD AS I SEE IT In 2014, through the kind recommendation of a friend, I
joined ‘Access India’. Access India is an emailing list which has several
hundred people with blindness as well as Disabled Persons’ Organisations across
India and beyond. Membership is open to all, leading to a rich diversity of
expertise and experience across the spectrum of most professional and personal
subjects. A person can write an email to the list, seeking/sharing information
on any subject related to ‘life with blindness’. In most cases, there is an
instantaneous response, often leading to an active discussion. From NGOs
sharing skill building programs for people with blindness, to enquiries about
accessible study material, as well as stories of discrimination faced due to
blindness along with advice on very personal challenges - this forum is open to
all. Above all this, the mailing list is effectively moderated, ensuring
respect and dignity for all, as well as the relevance of discussion. Despite
being a 15+ years old platform, it is commendable that the list continues to be
the go-to place for most blind people, considering the multitude of
communication channels available. Several blind people including myself owe our
personal and professional growth largely to Access India. Through this post, I
express my sincere gratitude to the Access India mailing list for the pivotal
role it has played in my progress. Experience the impact yourself by referring
to this link of Access India’s page https://www.accessindia.org.in/ What do you
think? Are you part of any such groups? PS: The list was started by Kiran Khaja
and is currently ably moderated and administered by Mr. Harish Kotian. My
friend Rahul Bajaj suggested this list to me. #DisabilityAwareness
