Re: [AI] Singnature required for banking facilities?

2023-12-10 Thread Ajay Kharb
Hello to all the respected members.
I just read this mail stating this issue of requiring the signature for
opening the acount in SBI.
With all due respect to SBI, I would just like to share my experience that
I had with the bank. I some where feel that there is some problem that
exists with how a bank like SBI is handling its customers with different
abilities, or specifically the customers with visual impairment.
I am an undergrad student of the St Xavier's college mumbai, and just a few
months back when I went to my nearest SBI branch back home in Delhi to open
my bank acount they rejected it. The reason that was given to me for the
same was that because I can't put my signature so, putting my thumb
impression is not accepted by the bank. And I would have to do with a joint
account, and I won't get any debit card issued by the bank for the simple
reason that I can't put my signature.
I was both shocked and agetated that what's even the logic behind this. My
mother adviced me to go for a private bank instead, but my point is that is
switching banks can be a solution to this unfare practice by the SBI? If
government run banks will exclude the people with different abilities in
such a manner then how and what can we expect from others.
It is my humble request to the stake holders to please take a solid action
on this issue.
With best regards
Ajay.

[AI] AI Is it worth buying and using the smart vision glasses by smart health global?

2024-05-25 Thread Ajay Kharb
Respected AI members. Greetings of the day.
I would be grateful to them if any one could solve my query regarding the
smart vision glasses, and are they really useful in the daily lives of a
visually impaired individual.
I have seen some product reviews on youtube about these glasses and found
them really interesting and helpful for myself primarily because most of
the times I am away from my family in some different states because of
education or other reasons. Although, my mobility is pretty strong and I am
able to navigate and cross roads and signals without any sighted help. But
the outdoor navigation feature of the smart vision glasses sounded really
appealing to me, as all of us are certainly aware that no matter how much
strong mobility we have, somewhere or the other there is always a fear of
bumping into standing vehicles or maybe falling into a drain while walking
on the roads. I know that these glasses are very expensive but my mother
has suggested me that if they are really beneficial to you, then there is
no harm in spending money to buy them. Hence I need the opinions and
guidance of those who have really used these in their daily life.
Another drawback of the glasses which compels me to not buy them is that
according to the videos which I saw, they are always connected with our
smart phones and an internet connection is always required for them to
function in an effective manner. If I consider this, then I feel that I
should not buy these glasses as it is practically difficult and impossible
to have a solid internet connection everywhere you go. But then some people
suggested that there are certain smart glasses which do not require the
support of the internet and they are not linked with your mobile.
It is my humble request to please share your valuable opinions and
insites on this topic so that I can get a clearer picture of whether to use
or not use these glasses.
With best regards
Ajay

Respected Saurab and Pranav sir.
Thank you so much for the feedback that both of you have shared on this
topic. Yes Pranav sir, I am surely going to talk to the makers in this
regard which will help me to take a wiser decision on buying or not buying
these glasses. Thank you so much for your support.

Re: [AI] Renewal of Online railway concession form

2024-05-28 Thread Ajay Kharb
Respected Rosaline mam.
Hope that this message finds you well.
I have described the procedure of the renewal of the railway
concession form below in this message.
So mam, at the first place you would have to visit your nearest government
hospital in order to get your eyes checked, and where a specialised doctor
or medical officer will examine you and will provide you with the railway
concession certificate. Dont forget to carry along your disability
certificate or the UDID card if you have one.
After the railway concession certificate is issued by the government
hospital, then you can apply for the railway E-concession card also known
as the railway Photo-ID card for persons with disabilities. There are
certain railway divisions that provide for an online portal from where you
can apply for the E-concession card, but still most of the railway
divisions do not have this facility. Hence, you can search and find out
that which is the nearest DRM office near your city. You can then visit to
the nearest DRM office with your disability certificate along with the
railway concession certificate which was given to you by the government
hospital and follow up with the DRM office to apply for the
E-concession card.
You also need to carry some more documents with you when you go to the DRM
office, such as the passing certificates of class 10th, your valid ID proof
such as the Aadhar card ETC and some passport size photographs of yours.
The DRM office will then assist you with the further process of form
filling and they will guide you with the entire thing. I hope that this
information helps.
Regards
Ajay

Re: [AI] Help needed in getting UDID

2024-07-18 Thread Ajay Kharb
Respected Mam. Hope that this message finds you well.
I have hereby described some of the possibilities that can act as a barrier
in issuing your UDID card, and also some of the possible solutions for it,
as I am myself from Delhi and got my UDID issued from AIIMS Delhi.
As you rightly mentioned that you have successfully applied online for the
card but have not received any updates regarding the further process. This
was the same case with myself as well as after applying online for the
UDID, I did not get any message from the hospital regarding my medical
check up. After which I decided to take a print-out of my application form
with all other important documents and visited the hospital myself. The
process of verification and medical check up was then very fast and I got
my UDID issued within 2 days.
Although I would like to clarify that according to the procedure prescribed
by the government, one should wait until we receive any SMS from our
nearest hospital and then go with the full procedure accordingly. But as I
told my experience and many of my friends also simply visited the hospital
after filling the online application and the work was done much quickly.
Even they got their UDIDS issued with less than a weeks time. So my
suggestion to you on this entire thing would be, that there is no harm in
visiting the hospital and just giving it a try. I am sure that this will
really help a lot.
With best regards
Ajay

Re: [AI] Information regarding flight concession

2022-10-03 Thread Ajay Kharb
Hello sir.
I would like to tell you that yes PWD do get concessions In flights. Only 1
airline gives this consession, that is air india. The procedure for booking
is simple. You can visit the nearest office of air india with your
dissability certificate and government I'd, and they will help you to book.
Only 1 precondition is required, to avail this consession you have to book
your ticket 3 days prior to your journey date. Hope this helps.

Re: [AI] Information regarding flight concession

2022-10-04 Thread Ajay Kharb
Hello sir.
So I will try to answer you one by one. Air india does not give any
consession to the escort.
At the time of booking you get an option for taking an escort, but that guy
escorts you from the airport and helps you to board your flight. At the
time of arival at your destination, you will meet another person who will
only help you to come out of the airport with your luggage.
You can take your own escort but he or she will not get any consession in
the ticket. Hope this helps.
Regards
Ajay.

[AI] Ai urgent query regarding the central university common entrance test.

2022-10-19 Thread Ajay Kharb
Respected members greetings of the day.
Through this email I want to raise and urgent query regarding the Central
University common entrance test that was held to admit under graduate
students for the current academic year by the University of Delhi.
I have a younger sister who is totally blind and had appeared for the same
examination. The problem is that yesterday the national testing agency
released the first rankings list for the general category, and my sister
who is a totally 100% visually impaired student has been allotted a college
in the general category itself.
My question is that will they not release a separate list for the PWD
category?
I know that there are some professors in this group who work with the
university of delhi. I please request you to please help me as this is the
question of my sisters future.
Please consider this as urgent and do revert back as soon as possible.
If they will not release category wise lists for different categories, then
is it not the violation of the reservation laws that in educational
institutions some seets are reserved for the student with dissabilities?
Please help me out with this.
With best regards
Ajay

Re: [AI] Physically Handicapped Concession Not Available on IRCTC App.

2023-05-13 Thread Ajay Kharb
Respected sir.
I would like to inform you that we don't get the dissabilities quota
consession option if we book tickets under the general quota. To avail your
consession, you have to select the pwd quota from the given list in the
IRCTC application. We won't get any consession on our ticket under the
general quota.
So the application does not have any problem. You have to select the pwd
quota option to avail your consession.
With regards
Ajay.

[AI] AI Problem with ETI eloquence TTS on mobile.

2023-10-03 Thread Ajay Kharb
Respected members.
I hope that this mail finds you all well.
I am facing a big issue with using eloquence TTS on my phone.
Currently I am using MI note-10 with android version 12.
The problem is that eloquence is stopping multiple times while I am
using the phone, and often when I am swiping my fingers on the screen
the talk back just says "using ETI eloquence TTS". And suddenly the
eloquence stops saying anything.
This problem suddenly came yesterday when I had re-started my device
for some reason, and earlier I was using the same eloquence from the
last 2 years. I tried searching for a solution for this on youtube,
and I saw a video where the man said, that if I lock my eloquence
application from the security option from my mobile then this problem
will get solved. But after doing that still it remains the same.
I will be very grateful to you if any one of you could please tell me
a solution for the same.
With best regards
Ajay

[AI] AI need your responses for a survey regarding mental health induced suicide in persons with dissabilities

2023-10-22 Thread Ajay Kharb
Respected members.
I hope that this message finds you well. I need an urgent help from
the people who are residing in Delhi regarding filling up a short
survey.
My younger sister Kiran Kharb who is a visually challenged individual
herself, is working with the NCPDEP and is conducting a research
regarding mental health induced suicide in persons with disabilities.
As a part of her research, she needs to collect at least 200 responses
from the persons with disabilities who are residing in Delhi. Its my
humble humble request to please help her in her research. There are
only 2 pre-conditions to fill this survey.
1 You should be staying in Delhi and
2 Your age must be between 18 to 35 years.
I please request you to just give 10 minutes from your valuable time
to contribute in her research. Your responses will be kept
confidential and the information collected will not be revealed
without your permission.
