Hello,
According to me, oral exams are not the way to go forward.
And yes, the word "leniency" is totally unacceptable to me.
You can't develop yourself in a skill based subject like science/
finance/ maths if you are dealt with leniency.
We should stress on reasonable accommodations i.e. talking
calculators, tools to describe graphs/ accessible equation editors but
not leniency at all.
P.s: didn't want to hurt anybody, sharing my own opinion from my past
experiences.

JSS Mahavidyapeetha has taken up a challenging task of establishing a
Polytechnic for the Differently Abled since 1991, with the approval of
AICTE and Government of Karnataka.

 This is the first Polytechnic of its kind in the Country to offer
professional education.  Six Diploma Courses of three years namely
Architecture, Commercial Practice, Computer Science &  Jewellery
Designing and Technology, Electronics & Communication and Computer
Applications for the Visually Impaired are offered for Orthopedically
Handicapped, Hearing Impaired, and Visually Impaired students at
Diploma level.

The atmosphere is specially designed for the Differently Abled and has
barrier-free environment.  The Institution is equipped with
laboratories, computer center, library and information center, hostel
facility for both girls and boys at affordable cost, sports, speech
therapy, gymkhana, placement and training cell, counselling service,
health center, canteen, bank facilities, NSS, alumni association etc.
The students are encouraged to participate in cultural, educational
and sports activities held in college as well as at Intercollegiate,
State & National level.  In few cases, they have participated at
International level also.

In 2005-06, Diploma in Computer Applications for the Visually Impaired
was established exclusively for the Visually Impaired students to
empower them in job-oriented professional course, to increase their
job prospects in the context of globalization and to make them
self-reliant and self-competent.  This course imparts training in
various subjects like Computer Applications, Commerce, Call Center
Training etc., by our dedicated and committed staff.

The Computer Applications for the Visually Impaired Department has
been equipped with Special Screen Reading Software which makes
computer learning easier.  Assistive devices like tactile graphics
(embossed figures) and course material which is provided in Braille
makes learning better.

The students are assessed on monthly basis with periodical seminars
and guest lectures arranged regularly to increase their interactive
skills, general knowledge, and social awareness.  Career Guidance is
taken care from the day they join the Institution.  They are provided
with confidence building, interview facing, communication skills
including online training which are exclusively arranged for the final
year students to increase their job opportunities.

The Institution has given maximum concession in fee structure so that
the students can pursue their professional education at an affordable
cost.  Apart from scholarships from both State/Central Government
sponsorships from both private and voluntary organizations are also
given to meritorious and economically backward students.

Our students are being recruited regularly by various business
organizations. After successfully completing the Diploma, the students
have been placed in various Public Sectors like State Bank of India,
Dena Bank etc., Corporate Houses like Wipro, IBM etc. Government
offices like Civil Court and various Trusts and NGOs.

Visually Impaired students can also opt for higher studies.  Bangalore
University has permitted lateral entry to II year B.Com/BBM to
students who have completed Diploma in Computer Applications for the
Visually Impaired.

You are right Radha, in earlier elections EC use to give farm 49o for negative 
voting. Those farms were with RO of respective booths. They had a directions 
not to miss use  it, thus everybody had fased this problem, but now You do not 
have this problem just go to poling booth complete the formality. You would

Dear all; those who are appearing for MTS through SSC; 2013/2014. Do approach 
any of the NGO'S who have audio material. Else visit SSC websight download soft 
copy make an audio. I'm currently working in Income Tax Department as MTS. I 
did not find any Audio material. My advise do go through News and CURRENT
