Re: [AI] little queries regarding MS word

2009-08-07 Thread suman damera
Hai,
About Nesxt occurance & Previous occurance:
When you use find dilog box for finding about some word in document
then JAWS says next occurance if you press keystorke control +
pagedown and Similarly, JAWS says previous occurance if you press
keystroke control + pageup.
Ex: you are finding the word "Computer" from the find dilog box.
First, The cursor stands on the word "Computer" in document and press
control pagedown, the cursor takes you to the next occurance of the
word "Computer" in the same document.
Hope it helps.

Re: [AI] information neded for aria

2011-08-04 Thread suman damera
Hello,

WAI-ARIA, the Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite, defines a
way to make Web content and Web applications more accessible to people
with disabilities. It especially helps with dynamic content and
advanced user interface controls developed with Ajax, HTML,
JavaScript, and related technologies. Currently certain functionality
used in Web sites is not available to some users with disabilities,
especially people who rely on screen readers and people who cannot use
a mouse. WAI-ARIA addresses these accessibility challenges, for
example, by defining new ways for functionality to be provided to
assistive technology. With WAI-ARIA, developers can make advanced Web
applications accessible and usable to people with disabilities.

here you go to know more about ARIA

There is nothing to download in ARIA. I guess you are thinking it's a

Re: [AI] About i b p s exam

2011-11-17 Thread Suman Damera
Hi Mamta and others,

Please clarify my query regarding IBPS scribe eligibility.

Since IBPS stipulated criteria is SSLC(10th class), should my scribe
be below 10th class and that to less than 60%?
If it is then i should get the scribe who is 9th class with less than
60% marks, is not it?

How practical it is?

That's what i can understand from the below guidelines from IBPS
*
The academic qualification of the scribe should be one grade lower
than the stipulated eligibility criteria.
*
The scribe can be from any academic stream. The scribe should possess
lesser marks than the candidate and not more than 60% marks in his own
academic stream.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ekinath,

I am not taking it wrong sense. I understand your frustrations. I
honestly say that SAP is doing excellent job in terms of taking care
of accessibility. Almost all the SAP tools are accessible. However,
there are prior settings to be done to make it accessible. Can you
write to me off list regarding your issues, so that I will ensure you
are comfortable accessing the SAP tools.

Friends, it is not only ekinath I am pointing to, anybody who is
really facing issues regarding SAP tools accessibility, write to me
off list, I will ensure our VI friends are working comfortably on SAP
tools.

Thanks.

 Dear Friends,

Please share with me your netbook models and details which you are using
from quite a long time and are happy with its performance and usage.
 The
list of models shared by you will become a useful resource for those who
 are
thinking of buying a new netbook and are not sure about which company
 and
which model. I am requesting this info for my friend who wants to buy a
 good netbook for educational purposes.

Another thought: We also can check with the board that it will be good
if they give special permission for VI's to write the exam in the
computer, so that VI can become independent to write the any common
entrance exam(no need of scribe and etc..)

What do you all say?

I am feeling very sad and not able to digest this. I know Abdul nearly
since 5 years. I met him when I was undergoing computer training at
NAB. He had come for his mobility training at NAB. We became nice
friends and both of us used to have nice discussions on the assistive
technology. In fact, I got to know Access India mailing group list
through by him only.

I express deep condolence.

[AI] Strange issue in 'm.facebook.com'

2013-03-24 Thread Suman Damera
Dear friends,
In ‘M.facebook.com’, the posts are not getting sorted as per the
latest one instead the posts are listed in random fashion. Due to
this, I am unable to view the posts in sequence order.
I have gone through all settings and could not find the option to set it.
Is there any procedure to sort the posts as per the latest one in the top?
I have been facing this strange issue quite a long time.
Your help will be highly appreciated!
Waiting to hear from you!

Re: [AI] Strange issue in 'm.facebook.com'

2013-03-25 Thread Suman Damera
In that case, there is a high probability to miss few posts.
At present the list of posts display like as follows(I have named
posts as ‘post1, post2, post3 and so on):
“Post1

Post 2
Yesterday 7.30am

Post 3

Post 4
Friday 4.30pm”

However, , it should be like as follows:
“Post1

Post 3

Post 2
Yesterday 7.30am

Post 4
Friday 4.30pm”

I think there should be way to rearrange this order. friends, plz
throw light on this issue.

Awaiting your response!
Thanks.

Re: [AI] Regarding ARIA

2013-11-17 Thread Suman Damera
Hi Bhavya,
ARIA is the concept for the web developers to make the rich HTML
content into well accessible. when the application is designed with
ARIA concept then you should be able to access the application (there
is no concept of downloading it) provided you are using the ARIA
compatible screen reader version(in case of JAWS, it supports from
12).
Hope it helps.
Thankks.
