2016-01-17 Thread mukesh jain
don't understand why people directly jump over to comment like not worth etc.
may be not worht for you but this may be necessity for others.

yes, if you find it to be not worht after seeing it's functions as
commited by the developers, then surely your views are welcomed. but
if your views are merely ater looking at the price only, then it's
totally immature.
thanks,

Hi!
I have been looking to purchase the scanning stands (to be used with
apps like KNFB, Scannable, CamScanner etc) available for smartphones
in India, but could not find it anywhere online nor in Nehru Place in
New Delhi. If in case, any of you have successfully purchased it in
India or ordered it from international markets or know from where to
purchase it, kindly share the details of pricing and procedure of
making such purchase.

KNFB is better due to three reasons.
1. it helps the blind take a better picture of the object. There is field
of

view and tilt guidance feature which enables even a totally blind to take
photo of the complete page with good focus. With other OCR apps, blind
person is never sure if the complete page is fitting into the picture. .
2. the recognition engine of KNFB are far better than any other OCR app.
3. KNFB has features for reading and navigating the recognized text.
Reading with in-built TTS or screen reader is easy.

I use it to demo the power of technology. Everyone is amazed to see its
performance. Some people commented that blind are not "blind" now. They
can

instantly read print.

Just to clarify, KNFB reader is an app running on both Iphone and
Android.

Hence, it should be discussed on the mobile.AI list. Request members

Secondly, I understandsome phone stands are also available abroad to

Finally, this should not be looked as a primary scanning tool. It is

can we effectively scan a4 size papers?
I am asking because our devices are less than half of A4 size papers.
Though rarely, I also come across b5 and legal size papers. How these
papers can be scanned please let me know.
