Re: [AI] AI | How to identify words with capitalised letters in MS word using Jaws
Ritesh, Change the capitalization setting to character, word and line. This solves the issue. However, it would speak the entire word containing capital letter in a different pitch, you can't identify only a particular character through any of these methods. Re: [AI] AI | How to identify words with capitalised letters in MS word using Jaws
Hi Amiyo! Many thanks for your prompt reply. Please note that I have changed the setting of "Capitalisation" to "indicate" from "ignore". However, this has not resolve my issue as I am not able to identify any words with capitalised while reading an entire paragraph in a single go. Further, I have also changed the setting of "Caps indicate" to "both letters and words" from "letters". Additionally note that I use "Control + down arrow" to read a paragraph in a single shot. I guess there are many lawyers in this group. I would be very grateful if they could guide how they generally read any large legal documents which have different capitalised words in between and the same are defined either at the top or bottom or anywhere in the same document. Look forward to hear from you and other group members. Re: [AI] AI | How to identify words with capitalised letters in MS word using Jaws
Hello, You may manipulate jaws quick settings to indicate capitalised words during say all feature. Press insert+v while in a ms word document for the quick settings. Type capital in the search field. It will bring up the capitalisation option. Press down arrow once to access this option. Press spacebar to toggle between ignore and indicate. Ignore is the default option. So, you have to press the spacebar to activate the indicate option. Then tab over to the ok button and activate it. Now try a say all command and see how you like it. It sounds odd to me as the capitalised words are pronounced at a higher pitcg.
