Re: [AI] Accessible AC :
Hi Mohib, You can operate many functions within the MirAIe Application itself. For instance, you can turn on/off the jet stream mode, enable or disable the nano X filtration, turn off/on the AC display, activate the clean button, Control horizontal and vertical swing positions and so on. However, there are certain functions which is also not accessible within the application which includes adjusting the temperature, customising sleep profiles et cetera. You can however access the on/off timer function within the application. To do that, use the buttons on your remote to increment/decrement the timer values, and use the buttons within the application to activate the on or off timer. Overall, I would say most of the functions are accessible in the application. You can use Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa for the rest of the functions that are not accessible. Having said that, customising sleep profiles is such an option which is not accessible in the application and not available in Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa either. With regard to your query on the AC always starting in auto mode when you switch it on, I think this is the default behaviour. Whenever you switch off and switch on your AC, it always starts in auto mode. However, if the fan speed automatically gets increased or decreased at certain times, I think this is because of the activity and absence detection Sensor built in to this device. You can control its behaviour by turning off an option which is called something like intelligently control your fan speed using AI. You can get in touch with me at 7538087173 should you face any difficulty in configuring the AC with Alexa. Agree with Prashant sir, Oacter remote is a good alternative. Mohib, Alexa skill doesn't have many functions, I use Google assistant to change mode/ temprature/ fan speed. Note, apart from temprature, mode/ fan speed can also be adjusted through app at least on Android. Further to this discussion: I hope some of you know that many remote controlled device can be controlled with Alexa or Google using the universal infrared devices. This device needs to be plugged into the socket and configured in the room where your AC, Music system, cooler etc. is. Finally you will be able to use your voice to switch on the ac, change temperature etc. One such device is from Oacter: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07T65KSLC/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_dl_9Z07NTE7X38RZ0ZBF70Z Note that all appliances may not work. Most of the common appliance models are supported. I have used it with Hitachi AC and it works. For making existing appliance smart this is a good option. Prices are in the range of Rs. 1000. Re: [AI] Accessible AC :
Hi Bikrama, I am also using Panasonic AC, I have recently purchased its 2022 Nano X model YKYF which is wifi enabled. I am operating it with the help of its remote and Amazon Alexa. But I don't know how to control it with voice with out amazon alexa? Could you tell me how to use this AC through my voice? Alexa has limited options, such as, decreasing and increasing temprature and switching on and off the AC, no other function can be performed with alexa. Meraie app is not fully accessible, as i don't see any option in this app to decrease or increase the temprature, and no clue how to set profile. Moreover my AC is always starts at automatic mode, while i wanted to keep it on cool mode with out letting it change the temprature at its own. Moreover, it changes its fan speed automatically, therefore how to stop it changing it automatically. Re: [AI] Accessible AC :
Hi Srinivas, You need to install an application called MirAIE to remotely control the AC using your smart phone. Once you install the application, you have to create an account and then add your air-conditioner to the same. In order for you to be able to add the AC to your account, both the AC and your phone needs to be connected to the Internet. To proceed, First activate the set up mode in your AC by holding down the Smart button for five seconds. The smart button is located at the top left corner on your remote. Once the set up mode is activated, follow the on-screen instructions to add the air conditioner to your account. After the air-conditioner is successfully added to your account, you can configure it with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa to control it using your voice. Explore the Panasonic MirAIe skill on the Alexa store and search for the same in the Google assistant settings > devices > linked devices option to see if you are able to configure your AC with both of them. Let me know if you Face any issue during the process. Also, please note that you can only control some limited functions like adjusting the temperature, switching between different modes, controlling the fan speed et cetera using your voice. Several other functions like customising your sleep profile, using the on/off timer, enabling the jet stream mode et cetera cannot be performed using your voice.
