Hi, You can use standard view with any of the screen readers, it is completely accessible. Some tips: 1. Firstly, go to settings in your gmail account and turn keyboard shortcuts on. This should only be done when standard view is already enabled. 2. Google support lists all the shortcuts for Gmail, you'll have to memorise those. It is generally not very difficult as they are quite intuitive. 3. No need to turn off the vertual curser. You can press jaws key + 3 for passing through the command directly to gmail interface and not your screen reader. This should work just fine. For example, if I want to compose a new message in the standard view, I'll have to press C. But with a screen reader enabled, it is the command for switching through comboboxes. In this case, I'll first press Jaws key + 3 and then press C so that it doesn't conflict with my screen reader. I think google has stop support to basic html view. It is possible to use standard view. It is also accessible. [AI] An issue with gmail in "to field".
Dear all, as the subject indicates, when we type few letters of any mail ID in the "to field" in gmail and press tab, contacts saved with those letters use to come up in "to field". But now that is not working for me. I tried it in both chrome and firefox. Is there any work around to over come this issue?
