RE: [AI] Any Linux user here?
Minar, WSL and virtual box are both solutions that will let you work with Linux. You can safely install any dependencies that virtual box asks you to install. Another option is vmware player. The best option however for you at least initially may be to try a live USB drive for Linux. Burn ubuntu on to a usb drive and launch its live cd and try orca from there. This will give you a flavor of the os. However, for sustained usage, you will need to virtualize. I think I’m going to proceed with WSL technique. If I need to use Linux with Orca then I will think of using virtual box or live USB technique. I did not face any accessibility during vertual box installation. Hi, I use Linux everyday and have recently installed virtualbox. What are the issues that you are facing? If they are accessibility related, they may be relevant to this list hence I am asking publically. Pranav -- Disclaimer: 1. Re: [AI] Any Linux user here?
Hello Harish sir, WSL thing is new to me. I did Google search and found that WSL can help me to use as many Linux distributions as I want. I would like to know that is there any demo available with screen reader? My big concern is after running the command system will restart. Can I expect any screen reader support after system restarts? I had used Linux long back using DVD. If I remember correctly, it was GNU 12 On Wed, Sep 27, 2023 at 11:42 AM harish kotian wrote: > Hi Minar > > I am unsure if you are aware of Windows sub system for Linux, which is > popularly called as WSL. Hi Minar I am unsure if you are aware of Windows sub system for Linux, which is popularly called as WSL. I had in the passed installed it on Windows 10. The advantage is that it is running Linux under Windows and with ease you can switch between the two. You can install Linux build like Ubunto, Kali etc. HTH Harish On 9/26/2023 8:58 PM, Minar Singh wrote: Hello access Indians, Anyone running Linux on vertual box?
