Dear All, I had a meeting with world wide manager, Medical Instruments of Texas Instrument (TI) last night. he has informed me that TI is collaborating with California state University (CSU) to design bionic chip which could be planted into totally blind person which could make them see. it is currently in very preliminary phase and current research has only yielded blind person to sense light perceptions. TI and CSU are determined to find a solutions in this regards and they are predicting a time line of 5-10 years where they could successfully launch a bionic eye that can make blind person see. Let's cross our fingers and hope for the best. TI also was working on cost affective talking cell phone chip but it has landed up with some legal patent issue and efforts are on to work around that. We must continue to lobby Industries to provide solutions which would make our life easier. Thanks and regards Asif
