Date: 26.09.2023 Feedback on ‘Accessibility Standards and Guidelines for Banking Sector’ Indian Banks’ Association invites feedback from the public on the draft Accessibility Standards and Guidelines for Banking Sector. The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has advised the Ministries / Departments to prepare and finalize the accessibilities standards in respect of the facilities and services accessible to persons with disabilities pertaining to their respective sector after stakeholder consultation. Accordingly, DFS has mandated IBA to formulate Guidelines for Customers with Special needs and Persons with Disabilities with respect to Banking Sector and for conducting the stakeholder consultation. The draft guideline compiled on ‘Accessibility Standards and Guidelines for Banking Sector’ for differently abled customers is displayed for the public opinion. The feedback on the Draft guidelines were earlier obtained from the Public with timeline upto 11.09.2023. However, with a view to obtain diverse feedback it has been decided to extend the feedback till 20.10.2023.The feedback may be sent tovp.r...@iba.org.in. Feedback already submitted in response to the earlier NOTICE need not be resubmitted. Please refer to the website of IBA for the details. It is the same old draft of a total 12 pages.
