Dehradun, September 25
The Silent Heroes, a film celebrating the adventures of 13
differently-abled children hailing from Dehradun, will be showcased at
the Dehradun International Film Festival that started today at the
Silver city mall.
The movie has been directed by Subash Bhatt and supported by National
Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Disaster Mitigation and
Management Centre (DMMC).
Bhatt said the film has tried to explore the issue of disability,
social attitude towards the disabled, equality, social inclusion,
importance of search and rescue and first aid and disaster awareness.
“We would be happy if, after watching the film, there is a perceptible
change in the attitude of people towards disability,” said Piyush
