[AI] Financial transaction by blind persons

2017-10-31 Thread Kotian, H P
Dear Mahendra and all

Interacting with blind persons with accessible currency issue, we came across a
very disturbing trend, that, many blind persons have given up their financial
independence in favour their family members or someone they trust.

Therefore, it does not matter to them wether the currency is accessible or not
because they have not been handling currency by themselves.
This I think is a very scary situation. Loosing power of mobility and now
financial independence and what is next. Tomorrow we will expect others to feed
us and brush our teeth and shave our beard.

In such a situation, why should anyone trust you for your abilities? Why should
anyone provide any accessibility at all?

Let us delegate ourselves like a pet dog?

I invite discussion to ponderon it. Let us have a open talk.
Harish

It is very sad that many of us don't wish to be independent. Even God cannot
help them who don't wish to help themselves.
For those who feel comfortable under somebody else's patronage, there is no
hope. However, there are many, who wish to get more and more self-dependent
regarding various challenging tasks.
The only hope remains that when the persons who have given in, will see us
enjoying the benefits of the accessible environment, they may think it over
again.

If the dependent types only watch the others struggling for independence
then it is still OK. We can justify that everyone has a right to choose
their route however these folks grumble all the time and don't bother to
help themselves and try to bring others down like hee and haw of Who moved
my cheese.
The accessible currency struggle is not new. I have already had 3 meetings
with the RBI officials. They know the problem but wont face it head on. It
is easier to deal with authorities who don't understand than Authorities who
understand what is required and then don't do it or make a mess of it. We
have to keep striving and hope we succeed. It would have been better that
this journey was undertaken by many more. None of the efforts so far have
been funded by any NGO or any sugar daddy therefore those who have decided
to take the RBI on are doing so on their own steam. We can only share the
load by doing our part.
It's a hard struggle andI am once again requesting each and every member of
accessindia to do their bit.
