2007-05-29 Thread Amritpal Singh
I'm changing the subject but not the subject line. We should stop talking
about Islamic fundamentalism. Here, at this point, I want to ask a question.
As the Freedom Scientific is now going into the hands of the persons from
Middle East, should we expect someone to program Jaws in such a way so that
it can read Urdu and other Asian languages? Your views will be appreciated.

Honorable Members,

When I first heard about the news of an Islamic fundamentalist
group investing in Freedom Scientific, I was not very much concerned. I
thought it was a roomer. But, when I heard the official podcast of FS in
which it's CEO has conformed the matter, I was very much worried. Islamic
fundamentalism is permeating into every corner of the earth and we all have
to be cautious about it. There is no need, however, to oppose their decision
and show any outward signs of opposition. But, it is a better idea to keep a
watch on the happenings.

Thanks

Venkat

2007-05-27 Thread Vidya
The most fundamentalist and the most dangerous are the Christians in
America, and among them those who are the blind are more sectarian, so
freedom scientific was already in fundamentalist hands. On what basis can we
call every Muslim organization fundamentalist?

Having said that, I think this discussion has no place on this list. If I
was the moderator I would send a very strong warning to Venkat for the
communal nature of his message.
(my opinion).

Re: [AI] Freedom Scientific and the Islamic fundamentalists

2007-05-27 Thread Vetrivel Murugan, Adhimoolam
Let's be very clear. Not all Muslims are fundamentalists and all Christians
are liberals. Every religion has liberal as well as conservative elements.
As users of freedomscientific products, let's be very clear that the
ownership of this company is simply switching from the American rich to the
Middle-eastern rich. So our debate and discussion should be focused around
issues such as cutting down the cost of freedomscientific products, making
them widely available to the visually impaired community etc. And hey, a
final word: No matter whether we consider the new owners as fundamentalists
or not, they are hardly going to make much difference in terms of those
issues that I just mentioned. I sincerely hope that I am proved wrong by the
new ownership.

Vetri.

2007-05-26 Thread Mohammed Asif Iqbal
Hi Venkat,
What is your definitions of Islamic fundamentalist? Your email suggest that
all Muslims is some how connected with Islamic fundamentalism.
I personally found your email offensive and let me point out that Muslims
are also human beings and they are also doing great work for building
international and national community.
Thanks and regards
Asif

Honorable Members,

When I first heard about the news of an Islamic fundamentalist
group investing in Freedom Scientific, I was not very much concerned. I
thought it was a roomer. But, when I heard the official podcast of FS in
which it's CEO has conformed the matter, I was very much worried. Islamic
fundamentalism is permeating into every corner of the earth and we all have
to be cautious about it. There is no need, however, to oppose their decision
and show any outward signs of opposition. But, it is a better idea to keep a
watch on the happenings.

Thanks

Venkat

[AI] Freedom Scientific and the Islamic fundamentalists

2007-05-25 Thread venkat ramana
Honorable Members,

When I first heard about the news of an Islamic fundamentalist
group investing in Freedom Scientific, I was not very much concerned. I thought
it was a roomer. But, when I heard the official podcast of FS in which itÂ’s CEO
has conformed the matter, I was very much worried. Islamic fundamentalism is
permeating into every corner of the earth and we all have to be cautious about
it. There is no need, however, to oppose their decision and show any outward
signs of opposition. But, it is a better idea to keep a watch on the happenings.

Thanks

Venkat
